Lovely hotel, staff so friendly happy & helpful. Spa such a nice little extra. We loved our stay here and will definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff Lovely clean hotel

They basically cancelled on me with less than 48 hours notice. The reasons they gave me didn't add up so I take it they have double booked! I have been twice before but will not return! shocking was to run a hotel! after complaining officially they suddenly said i can still have the package and have things they originally said where not available! No thank you!!!

It was so shabby, I actually emailed a complaint. The response was poor so I’m leaving my complaint as a review: Dear Mr Dalgliesh, We were very disappointed by our recent stay at Clumber Park Hotel. Overall, we found the place very run down & shabby, quite at odds with the website image, with plastic sheeting on carpets etc. I had visited a few months ago for lunch with friends & noticed that the lift wasn’t working which was a problem for my disabled friend. While this didn’t affect us directly this time, it’s representative of the lack of care taken in the hotel that the lift was still out of order. More directly affecting us was that, despite the hotel clearly being less than half occupied, we’d been placed in a room at the front of the hotel by the main road. This meant we couldn’t open the window due to heavy traffic noise late & early. The room was stuffy. It would have been much better hospitality if we had been roomed at the rear. Furthermore, when I went for my spa treat, I found that the steam room - that I’d most been looking forward to and the reason we chose the hotel - was out of order. This hadn’t been mentioned at check in. Additionally, while the evening meal was of good quality & value, there was barely any quality wine in stock. Both Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio were unavailable, so I had to make do with an a glass of very mediocre wine. My friend ordered a beer but when he asked for a second was told it had been the last one. We laughed but it was ridiculous. At breakfast, the last straw was that we were served hash browns that were so overdone that they shattered into pieces. The lovely waitress quickly replaced them for us but the cook should never have plated them up. When I spoke politely to your receptionist, Sweet, about the issues & asked for a small refund, she said I had to do so in writing. Obviously, writing this takes much more of my time than the quick, friendly chat at the reception desk. Which doesn’t help me feel that customer service is Muthu’s priority.

We felt extremely welcome and staff very polite. One of the managers Terrie was extremely helpful and helpful. For our needs, nothing was too trouble for her and went that extra mile to accommodate us. If there is one thing I would say, There was another older gentleman (manager) sat in reception. Interrupting in conversations and talking to staff in a rude manor, border line inappropriate to staff members. Made my partner and I uncomfortable so staff must have felt worse.

I organised a team off-site meeting at the Muthu Clumber Park Hotel recently. Emily Christensen, the events manager was brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble and the day ran seamlessly. Additionally, the team had lunch in the restaurant and the service and quality/variety of food was excellent! An outstanding service and hospitality at its best. We will be booking again for our next off-site in a few months. Thank you.
