Hotel room was good. Staffs were friendly. I check in late but didn’t had any problem.

Difficult to sleep because the pillows were too bulky and incompressible and the room was too hot.  I turned the radiator to minimum but it took hours to  cool ( I could have opened the window.)

Large hotel, pleasant staff however rooms are tired with broken curtains, sofa beds, lamps, tv's, no hair dryer either. We booked 2 rooms for a 1 night stay, the main door to 1 room was jammed so had to change, we were later told this particular room should not have been offered on check in. Maintenance staff work limited hours so issues were not resolved during stay, poorly informed of use of pool, you still have to book a slot(!?) Swimming lessons being carried out during the day so no usage of the pool during those times. Room cleanliness was to a good standard & beds comfy. As there were so many issues that were raised & were not able to be resolved, an offer of goodwill would have been nice, sadly this did not happen.

The outside of this hotel needs touching up as much as the inside does, appears to of not had any updates to it in a long time which is a shame because it is so big and has a lot of potential , I stayed in one of the ambassador rooms as we was travelling for peppy pig world, you get a good nights sleep, and the TV is decent though the stand is bizarre, the cleanliness of the rooms is pretty poor , and that does need to be improved upon because there’s no excuse . Breakfast is ok, times they serve them though not the best - 8am on weekends? Why!!! Dinner if you have it there tastes ok to be fair but over priced . Staff are over all friendly, all be it I did find one of them a little condescending , but over all good. If you’re coming here because you’re visiting peppa pig world then it’s fine for you and you’ll be fine as long as you just use it for sleeping / washing, wouldn’t stay for any other purpose and probably wouldn’t revisit it, location wise is fine, food is good but over priced, cleanliness is poor and costs them a lot of stars, staff friendly - and I recommend going swimming , it’s 45 minutes away from peppa pig world to. That’s my over all view on it anyway, hopefully one day it gets another refurb to replace all the out dated stuff, and hopefully the cleaners improve .

Bathroom was not clean, no housekeeping is offered unless you ask, which is fine. Bathroom shower clogged up, water was always pooling around my feet which is gross. Breakfast was included, but service was poor. Tables were not clean. Plates were dirty. I will not stay at this hotel ever again. Elevators look like they had never been cleaned?

Booked a so-called "Deluxe Suite" with an offering of robes & slippers; two televisions; telephone; safe etc. On arrival: no robes & slippers ("since 1st lockdown" apparently!); never had 2 TVs; phone didn't work; safe didn't work. The sole TV had no remote so couldn't be used. Bedside lamp didn't work. Hygiene very bad - bits of food on window sill and kettle had revolting gunge inside it. H&S issues: light bulb left on wardrobe shelf that nearly smashed on us had I not caught it. No decaf coffee at breakfast. Tongs left in trays so burning hot. Asked for swimming pool booking time although this was never mentioned at check-in. I have given 1 star simply because the poor Reception staff were very helpful and did their best to sort out the problems. The management/ownership need exposing as deceitful, lazy, incompetent and uncaring. If you want to sue me for any of these comments, bring it on because you are in a downward death spiral with Britannia Hotels as the worst in the UK and you need to be exposed in open Court. Your customers and employees are being conned by you.

Stayed at Apollo Hotel on the hottest day of the year, and unfortunately, the experience fell well below expectations. The room had no air conditioning, and despite being promised a fan over the phone, we had to wait a long time to get one—only to receive a small, ineffective fan that barely helped. The leisure facilities (gym, pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and steam room) were very dated and nothing like the pictures online. It was International Yoga Day, but there were no yoga mats available in the gym, making it impossible to practice. The breakfast was underwhelming and lacked flexibility—when we requested an omelette, we were told it wasn’t possible. On top of that, the shower water temperature couldn’t be adjusted, so we had to endure boiling hot showers, which was unbearable in the heat. The only redeeming factor was a staff member named Kate, who was kind, helpful, and went out of her way to assist guests—she truly stood out. Overall, this stay felt like poor value for money, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel in its current state unless major improvements are made.

Absolutely awful hotel! terrible service, was the hottest day of the year and the heating was turned on.. couldn't open windows as restricted, children had heat rashes and was sick in the night. The food is below average, very slow service. When I emailed the manager about how awful our stay was he said there was no other complaints!! Total lie that was as I heard 3 others complaints in the so called restaurant and then the talk at breakfast was how hot it was and no one could sleep! Terrible hotel, useless staff. The only half decent bit was the pool, but that was cold too. Would NOT recommend and will NEVEar return.
