Great easy check in but down hill from there unfortunately. The cleanliness of the room was not very good at all. There was a stain the bed sheet, a towel in the bathroom had clearly been used and not replaced. The bathroom itself was quite disgusting. Cars parked in the car park late at night with music blearing out. Fire alarm went off in the evening presumably because someone was vaping/smoking in there room. Will lot be returning.

When working away, all you really want is a nice clean room, that is value for money and you don’t have to share the toilet or shower with other patrons of the establishment. Nothing wrong with the hotel , check in friendly and professional Rooms are clean enough unless you are part of the white glove brigade. Everything worked, tv, kettle, heating. Curtains aren’t hanging off the rails The location easy to get to, but they charge over £100 a night and now you have to pay for parking on top. Absolute **** takers. They will probably blame someone else, it’s not our fault, blah, blah, blah… It is now just another hotel I am going to have to swerve. They have never been value for money but they meet an acceptable standard. The purple palace isn’t what it use to be, there are better hotels for less

The hotel was clean and the bed comfy. There's a decent sized TV and the staff were great. What really annoyed me though is that firstly there is a payment for the car park which is miles out of the town centre and only serves this hotel and the adjoining pub (the pub has free parking using the same spaces). Additionally, the payment machine is not obviously a parking machine when its dark and is easy to miss. It's only £3 per night but why not just put it on the room cost? It just seems like Whitbread / Premier Inn are trying to entrap you into a parking fine. (RE: Photo : The car park is to the left of reception in the picture so you would go past the payment machine if you used the ramp, however if you use the steps, you can easily miss it when it's dark as there is no ambiant lighting around. You would also get very wet using it on a dark, rainy night).

Great as usual! Stayed at Basingstoke West initially for 2 nights, room was lovely and clean (as usual) food was great (as usual) service was impeccable (as usual) Sure, a few paint chips here and there, but warm and clean and a super comfy bed, seriously what more could you want? All the staff were so helpful and accommodating, and when we had to leave a day early due to illness, they refunded us 50%, which I didn't even ask for. That's called quality service. Thanks to all the staff.

The hotel is getting a bit tired now and could do with a complete reference, the biggest issue is the traffic noise, mainly the childish brats that like to race on the road outside, especially the ones with modified exhausts, unfortunately that is not within the control of the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly, but I do think the quality of the breakfast ingredients has been reduced from what I remember of previous stays at other Premier inn sites

Stayed in this Premier Inn because we always use it when we visit our daughter who lives nearby this is all Premier it is what it is and it does the job staff in the beef restaurant are excellent especially the South African manager who recognises us every time we come and he always seems to be there Day and night he’s a lovely guy the waitress who served us in the evening was excellent very helpful and attentive. Premier Inn have now introduced parking fees at this Premier Inn which is new but we didn’t have to pay this time because we booked early. It’s £7 a night so it’s not a massive fee and I’m quite happy to pay it.

Having quite a number stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few year and it had free parking. It seem now they are charging £7.00 per night now to park the car in the car park at the hotel. However if you are just visiting the Spruce Goose pub you can get 3 hours free parking as long as you remember to input your vehicle registration in the panel inside the entrance

Room was clean & comfy. Noisy room but everything was as would expect from a Premier Inn. Would stay here again.
