One of the worst breakfast ever had. Normally premier inn is amazing breakfast and that’s why we booked premier inn. This time I left about half of the full English. Black pudding hot but just mush. Cooked tomatoes weren’t cooked. , Vaguely warm and rock hard. Mushrooms had no taste whatsoever so ever. Scrambled egg was solid. This was 9am on a Saturday morning. Should have been fresh but tasted like had been sat there for hours. Tables were sticky. Couldn’t pick up my room card from the table. Really disappointing. Coffee was good though. And hotel room was good as expected.

Very good hotel and in a good location for what we needed. We were here to visit family and friends. Staff were helpful and happy to answer questions. Rooms are good, nice and clean and no issue for us. Beds nice and comfortable will definitely be coming back

This hotel is in a good location. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. All the staff we met were friendly. The downside was noise from an air conditioning unit in the room, which could not be turned off, and some noise from the room above very late at night.

Great hotel in a great location!! Would highly recommend this hotel as it's an ideal location to shop in the town centre or a 10 minute walk to the Anvil theatre. The staff are helpful and the room we had was lovely. the M3 is literally a 5 minute drive away!!

Why a 5 star rating? Yes it is a premier inn not a premium hotel but given the experience it can be given no less than a 5 star rating. The staff are extremely hard working and multi-task - from reception, to the restaurant, housekeeping and even cooking. But the best thing was how wonderfully friendly and genuinely nice people they all are. Nothing was too much trouble. Evening food was ok - seems to be constrained by premier inn standard menu and there are place a few minutes walk into town including the excellent Cote, but the premier inn was adequate for a quick meal. The cooked breakfast on the other hand was excellent. There is some parking outside the hotel, around 12 spaces which are taken late afternoon as people check-in, but the spaces are on land they don't own. There is a paid car park next door but to get to it you have to drive around 3 and a half sides of a square, around the town one way system to access a car park 10 yards away. The shopping centre is about 5 minutes walk away so it is a convenient location. A big thank you to all the wonderful staff in particular Claire and Bobby.

Nice hotel, good location. Very limited parking but plenty of pay for parking next door. As others have said, Bobby is an amazing asset to the hotel, I hope Premier takes this on board as he is definitely management in the making. Apart from comments below, the rooms are clean and well laid out. Having a lift is a great bonus. All other staff do there jobs well too. Sadly, I won’t be staying again as the rooms are too hot, you cannot open the windows. There is no air conditioning and the heating system cannot be set below 19. Even when off the rooms remain very hot and this is in February. There is the occasional burst of fresh air but it is inadequate.

The room cleanliness and welcome desk were the only reasons I didn’t score the review higher! No staff at the welcome desk, hair in the bath, and a stained headboard were the issues. Overall an average stay! I think the price was very expensive for the average service / accommodation provided.

Just returned from a 2 night stay. Had a bit of a nightmare when we arrived as my sister thought she had booked but hadn’t!!!! Iman and Bobby were fantastic and sorted things for us promptly. We had a very comfortable 2 nights. Room clean and quiet. Throughly enjoyed breakfast one morning. Food pipping hot and all staff very helpful and friendly. My only comment would be that Premier Inn need to support their colleagues with better IT systems. One colleague had problems resetting our room key and mentioned it had been playing up most of the day and also hotel staff should be able to help guests when there are problems when the online booking systems are down.
