Location was great, service very friendly first course very good, main course and dessert was outstanding!!! All in all a lovely experience!

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay here, one of the nicest hotels we've stayed in. Super friendly staff from the moment we walked in, nothing was too much trouble, they are genuinely invested in making each and every guest feel valued and welcome. We stayed in Portland and it was a delightful room; spotlessly clean with a stunning view of the needles. Nice little freeview tv with all apps available to log into. Food and drinks really good. Try the spicy mango margarita, absolutely bang on ;) thanks to all for making my daughter's A Level results day so memorable and positive. We will be back for sure.

The Cliff House is one of our favourite restaurants in the area. James and his team always make everyone feel welcome. The staff are extremely attentive. One overheard us toasting my friends birthday and, without any overt prompting from anyone, presented him with a lovely Happy Birthday dessert and a discreet "Happy Birthday" without any cringe worthy singing lol! The restaurant is a relaxing, comfortable environment, and the food is consistently amazing and great quality, enhanced by a great selection of wines and delicious cocktails! Thanks again for an amazing evening!

I’ve visited this pub several times before while on holiday and have always loved the location and the atmosphere. It’s usually a highlight of our trip — beautiful setting, lively crowd, and generally great vibes. But unfortunately, this time I left feeling disappointed and quite frustrated. I went to the bar where there were plenty of staff around and no one else waiting. Two staff members (who I believe were managers) were right in front of me, chatting and experimenting with cocktails, but didn’t acknowledge me at all — no eye contact, no “we’ll be with you in a moment,” nothing. I stood there for about 5 or 6 minutes feeling completely invisible. Eventually, another staff member asked if I’d been served — which I appreciated — but by then I felt dismissed and honestly quite embarrassed. I’m not someone who usually complains, but I felt like I wasn’t worth the time or attention, and that’s not a nice feeling as a customer. This place has so much going for it, but basic courtesy and professionalism from staff make all the difference. I hope this was a one-off, but it really let the experience down this time.

We had a fabulous time! The food was superb, the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Anna was lovely and so was all the other staff members and the manager was so welcoming when we arrived! Our room was perfect. The view was amazing of the Isle of White and was just beautiful get away for a birthday celebration.

Very nice location and excellent food, with stunning views across the solent at very reasonable prices. Situated in a very nice part of the south coast. It also offers accommodation for those interested in spectacular views out to sea. You can also take breakfast or afternoon tea or even a coffee break
