I stayed at the Omni Barton Creek this week during my JFrog conference. Check-in was a breeze, the staff upbeat and super friendly. Parking was in a parking garage. Navigating from there to my room was an adventure, as there are no signs. Finally I ran into someone who pointed me to the elevator. The whole place is spotless. Common areas, room, bathroom -- all were clean, modern, well designed as you would expect from a luxury hotel at seriously high prices. The room was very quiet, despite the full house. I didn't hear a peep the entire stay. TV worked well. I was able to pair my iPhone with it to stream easily. Internet was good. The air conditioning worked, sort of. It clicked on and lowered the temps when I checked in. But every morning it ceased responding to the thermostat at around 5am. By 8am it was in the low 70s (though set at 65) and I was sleeping on top of the sheets. The beds were seriously hard. Like a board with a blanket on top. Pillows and bedding were fine. So between the stiff mattress and semi-working AC, I didn't get a good night sleep any of the nights. There was no free breakfast, though food was available onsite for a fee. The conference space was good. Lots of room and the Internet worked everywhere. No issues. Check-out was fine, as well. Staff very helpful and genuinely smiling. So a very good stay, but not restful. Might be fine for folks who like hard beds.
