We stopped over for a night on a trip between Vegas and LA. This is definitely an older motel, but it did the job. The car park is next to the hotel and is free and plenty big enough. Check-in wasn’t the most efficient, though was friendly and effective. The rooms are somewhat tired, and would benefit from a remodel. However, our room was clean and comfortable and we slept well. The pool is well sized and clean. The (free/complimentary/included) breakfast is the most notable part of the hotel. It’s a sit-down meal, rather than a buffet. The waitress was friendly, attentive and efficient, I lost count of the number of times she refilled my coffee. Breakfast is cooked to order and there is a choice of around 10 menu items, numbered 1-10. Basically eggs (your choice) sausage/bacon and hash browns, or pancakes and sausage, or bacon and pancakes. Etc. There are no substitutions, but there should be something for everyone. The kids menu is smaller portions of the same. The food was hot, well-cooked and tasty. The hotel itself is nothing to write home about. The breakfast was definitely our favourite part.

I was super skeptical about making a reservation here, but we decided to take a chance after seeing the good reviews- and we are glad we did! The entrance way is so charming. I love the courtyard area. Could the rooms use updating, yes. But the beds were clean and the room didn’t smell bad. Showers were good and hot. Beds were comfortable. They have a huge outdoor pool that went to 8 feet. The only downside was that the pool was freezing and there were no towels. My kids enjoyed it anyway for a short time. They have a Mexican restaurant on-site which was very convenient and the food was good. One other thing that we loved was that they give you a free cook to order breakfast in the morning at the Mexican restaurant. It was WONDERFUL, and such a nice touch after eating gross hotel buffet food for a week. I'm talking real bacon and eggs, and yummy pancakes. Very nice. One thing to note is that if you were pulling a camper, the parking might be difficult. But, they did honor a CDL discount, which we very much appreciated. We will definitely stay here again when passing though.
