Very comfortable and clean with a great vibe. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. I love the artwork and decor. Safe overnight parking available. Overall a great experience.

A hotel full of character. Lovely secluded garden and pool. Being so different from a chain was refreshing (wonderful staff) but some might find it somewhat quirky

From the minute we set foot in the hotel, we knew it would be a good experience! Little did we know it went from good to great! We arrived a little early and were greeted with a warm reception. Our room (Melville and Moon) was amazing. It was clean, decorative, spacious with a rustic feel. We even had our own huge balcony. We spent the afternoon by the pool in a beautifully manicured garden. We enjoyed a lovely dinner where we were greeted by the very kind owners. We were lucky enough to experience a 7:00am meditation swim in the fresh waters of Tradouw Pass with warm cappuccinos hosted by the owners. Hands down, an unforgettable 24 hours in Barrydale. Thank you!

Excellent
Definitely a one off place, really interesting building, beautifully decorated and furnished. Food brilliant. The owners and their staff were all so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back for a longer stay.

Excellent food, lovely hotel, enjoyed the art tremendously. Staff very attentive and accommodating,well trained. Sue Mellville very kind and caring hostess. When travelling through Barrydale a must stop.

We had a fun few days in Barrydale. The Karoo Art Hotel was in a great location for exploring and the staff were friendly and always available. The rooms were a little disappointing for the price we paid but comfortable and clean. The gardens were lovely and a nice swimming pool helped in the December heat.

We stayed three nights in this lovely old hotel in the very centre of Barrydale. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was superb. We learnt so much about this lovely town with its many quirky people. We were upgraded when we asked if there was another room available (our room was very hot in the late afternoon) and they accommodated us even though the hotel was full. A special mention must go to Vivienne and Adri who made our stay so memorable.
