We stayed here 2 nights towards the end of July and I can honestly say that it was fantastic! The Hotel sits in stunning grounds, the building is special, the rooms are very comfortable and quiet, the staff are friendly and the service is attentive. What more could you want especially as the cost was very reasonable. We ate in Oscars the first night and it was beautiful food, well presented and served with a smile. Breakfast here were excellent. Lots of cold choice on the buffet with delicious hot food made to order. We came to visit an old friend who lives in Dalton. When we next come up we will certainly stay here again.

This was our 3rd stay and equally as enjoyable! The staff were amazing, room was beautiful and food delicious! This place is absolutely immaculate in its decor and grounds. The most perfect location for a wedding or special occasion. Especially looking forward to visiting at Christmas time to enjoy the spectacular Christmas decorations! Will always be our go to hotel in the lakes, with the most popular locations only a 40 minute drive or bus ride away. Big congratulations to all the staff for keeping this place special!

Everything was fabulous ! Could not have asked for better. Staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Room was immaculately clean, shower was exceptionally good ,(powerful) with complimentary toiletries. Oscar’s restaurant was also fabulous, food was excellent (3 courses) . Staff were very very polite and professional. Manager of the restaurant that evening took me on a little tour of the wedding venue as I was married there 25 yrs ago ! The outdoor wedding venue looks incredible. Breakfast was also superb, cereals , danish pastries, full breakfast , all in the price of the one night stay. Gardens are immaculate , we enjoyed our little stroll through the gardens down into Furness Abbey after breakfast . My daughter and I would like to thank you all for a very enjoyable stay . Thank you all for a very enjoyable visit. We will definitely be back to stay with you next time we are in Cumbria . Thank you 🤩

Just had a four night stay at the absolutely stunning Abbey House, as a treat for my 60th Birthday weekend. It was honestly, the icing on the cake of an amazing time. The staff are so friendly and couldn't be more helpful, with a genuine Barrovian warmth. I stayed in the original part of the building and the suite was magical. But it's the grounds that really take your breath away. Enchanting. I have never had such a wonderful hotel experience and I have travelled all over the world. So it makes me proud to find such excellence in my own home town.

Beautiful property with beautiful grounds next to Furness Abbey in Barrow in Furness. Tastefully decorated rooms with modern bathroom. Good food in Oscar’s Restaurant, a well presented dining room. Plenty of free parking. Friendly and helpful staff who add to the charm of this special place. We’ll be back again.

We attended the Bridget Jones brunch last weekend . What an afternoon it was! The staff, food, drink and entertainment were top class. On arrival we were treated to an aperol or Hugo spritz! Table was beautifully decorated. All food requests were catered for and the dj and saxophonist were excellent. Drinks were well priced and place spotless. Loved it. So lucky the have this beautiful venue on our doorstep x

We stayed at the Abbey house hotel as part of a friends birthday celebration. From the minute we pulled into the grounds to the moment we drove away, it was an amazing place to stay. Staff were all friendly, professional and welcoming. The whole building was spotless. We stayed in a suite which was very well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. Bar prices were good as was the drink quality. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented. Again the staff at breakfast were first class. The ground were well kept and just beautiful. 10/10 to the Abbey house for making our stay so enjoyable. I would certainly recommend a stay here.
