Fairfield Inn & Suites Bardstown

Very clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, in a great location for doing parts of the Bourbon Trail. During two night stay no cleaning / towel refresh provided, I accept responsibility that I did not specifically request, only reason for 4 vs 5 rating, Would choose this location again if in the area.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Bardstown is an excellent choice for leisure travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and friendly service. Its location, amenities, and welcoming atmosphere make it a great base for enjoying everything Bardstown has to offer. My wife and I enjoyed the clean rooms, friendly staff and great breakfast. So many distilleries are around and we went to a few and had a great time. Will be back again soon.

This probably started as a nice hotel, and still could be - if anyone cared. Overall a lack of standards seemed to be the norm. I thin this location is both understaffed and the staff that they do have are burnt out / undermotivated. When we checked in we saw a sign at the check in counter that said rooms are only serviced every three days - not a great sign but we aren’t high maintenance so no worries. We stayed two nights - and as expected our room was not serviced. Not an issue for us. We simply went to the front desk (twice as the first time no one showed up) and asked for additional towels which we were given to us right away. Our room was cleaned - but not clean. I have personally high standards for cleaning but I understand that when staying in a hotel that the corners and such aren’t able to be deep cleaned regularly. With that said - I kept my sandals on in the room as the carpet and tile just felt dirty. Our shower had hairs - like many hairs - on the wall when we checked in and the bathroom floor had clearly not been mopped. I simply prayed to the hotel gods that the toilet was clean. Our air conditioner did work and kept the room cool but it also had a perpetual slight dampness that lingered the entire stay and gave me a general unclean feeling. I considered asking for new sheets because I wasn’t sure if they weren’t fresh or if they were just musty from the a/c. Not a great night's sleep either way. We browsed by the breakfast buffet one morning but ended up skipping it due to the general vibe being …ew. I would bet the area hadn’t been serviced or cleaned all morning as most of the limited selection of items were out of stock or looked terrible, countertops and many tables were visibly dirty and there was just a general disarray. If you don’t mind sticky hands and flaking non-stick coating, they do have a waffle maker station. They have a little convenience area called the Market by the lobby and I picked up a Starbucks bottled drink and charged it to the room each morning + a bag of candy one night. After check out we had an additional /market charge for like $2.75 for who knows what. Not worth a phone call to deal with but just one more way this location fell short of expectations. Overall most of these issues could be easily resolved by hiring more and better staff. For a price point of $225/night I expect better. I would not stay here again.

Fabulous Stay at Fairfield Suites! We couldn't have been treated nicer from the moment that we arrived and checked into our comfortable room to the moment we departed after a delicious breakfast. Our front desk represntatives were professional and personable ladies and exhibited the very best in customer care. When I reviewed my checkout statement and wanted a question answered by the manager, Allie took a moment to send Nathan Shaw a note regarding my question. Mr. Shaw, the manager, later responded to my question and went out of his way to leave me a voice mail message addressing my concern. Such an expedient action by managers like Nathan Shaw represent one of the primary reasons why Marriott is our hotel of choice: customer satisfaction! Indeed this Staff and this property exceeded expectations and we hope to return when we travel this ropute again.

The beds and pool were tiny. The breakfast was horrible with just a few things on it!! I will not be staying here again when I visit my niece! I woke up with my back hurting because the beds were so hard!!! When I got there I had to clean the toilet because it had pee and dirt on it!
