Romantic Hotels in Barcelona

Firstly, it's too pricey and doesn't really offer good value. It feels very hot even after adjusting the temperature to the lowest setting (19 degrees Celsius being the lowest possible). The room is a bit old, and water flows out from the shower room while showering. The bathroom area is extremely dark. This package cost me around $6K HKD, and I can confidently say it doesn't compare well to other new 5-star hotels in Barcelona. The best thing about W is the bar/restaurant on the 26th floor. The staff is generally rude and impolite, possibly including some of the security staff. The reception staff assisting with check-in are also unfriendly, possibly due to a large number of guests waiting.

Threat value for money, spacious room. However, some of the staff could be quite impolite, rushing us to check out on the last day. Also unable to provide alternative solution except asking us to take public transport during taxi strikes

Very convenient location, close to a number of nice restaurants and tapas places. La Rambla is just around the corner. Metro station Diagonal is 5 minutes away. Welcome drink in the lobby for guests. The room is spacious, well designed. The 3 options of lighting: day time, relax and night, are very well thought as you do not need to decide which light to switch on or off. The breakfast is awesome with fresh yogurt, fruits, made to order omelette and sparkling wine too.

I am from Singapore. Was very impressed with the location of the hotel. It has the old castle feel and the roof top pool n good view and the pretty spirals staircase of the hotel to the roof top . The only fault I can find was the bath towels were not very clean. Have feedback to the Mgt and saw the pretty and friendly Manager Ms Monica who is efficient and quick to settle the imperfect and make us have a Happy Stay again . I love the key . Snap shot of the beautify key and the beautiful spiral stairs for your view. Thumbs up for location, service and breakfast. Buffet breakfast reasonably nice . You can even see the Sagrada Familia at the roof top view . Missed out the night scene though. We were too tired shopping at night and forgot to take the night scene .

Great location! Right behind the rail station, kind confusing for first time visitor in Barcelona, since they might know there are two exits in the rail station. I made a circle to find the entrance of the hotel. The hotel theme is space and we are the astronauts which is really cool. The room is very clean and neat. Very good and highly recommended to others.

The location of the hotel is great, just a few minutes walk to the famous tourist attraction street, very suitable for citywalk. The room I was given for the first time was on the first floor. The one next door didn’t feel very private or well-lit. Later, I told the lady at the front desk about the situation and moved me to a room on the fourth floor. The room was generally good, and there was a room behind it. There is a gym and an office building. It feels safe and there is a decent bathroom inside.

The hotel service and environment are good! When I first arrived, it was a bit cold at night, but the room can actually adjust the heating, which is great! I was assigned a room with a street view. There was a two-person sofa by the window and a good bench for placing items. The only thing I don't like is the shower in the bathtub. Only half of the glass has no door. Water easily splashes out during the shower and there is no way to separate dry and wet. The hotel is very conveniently located, with supermarkets, bakeries and restaurants not far away. It is about a 10-minute walk from both Batllo and Mira. It is also within a ten-minute walk from several subway stations. It is quite convenient to take the Airport Express R2 to Passeig de Gracia.

The location of the hotel is quite central. It is next to the main church. It is very convenient for eating and shopping nearby. I regret not booking a hotel with breakfast. The environment and service are no less than domestic five-star hotels. The environment is designed to be quite high-end. The three of us girls just entered the hotel. From the front door, two gentlemen came running from a distance to help us carry our luggage. They were warm and considerate. They also took the initiative to help us take a taxi to the train station when we checked out. The only drawback of the hotel is that the sound insulation is relatively poor. We were very pleased with the central location, modern amenities and gracious staff at The Monument Hotel. Situated within an easy walk to some of Gaudi’s most impressive buildings, fine shopping and dining with its own Michelin restaurant on premises, there wasn’t much to be desired in this boutique hotel, save for some minor details. In our case, although we arrived on an early flight and we’re aware check in was not until 3 as we’d been informed when I placed my reservation noting our arrival time - and the concierge agreeably stored our luggage as we took in local sights - we were notified while having lunch a room with a better view would not be available until 5 pm. We decided to wait for that option and made use of the rooftop pool lounges for a late afternoon siesta. Shortly after 5, I went to reception and was informed the room was ready. While adequate in terms of space - with a small sitting area adjacent to the sleeping area - I can’t say there was a view per se as it basically looked over rooftops, perhaps what could be devastating a small courtyard. The bat was actually quite large in comparison but for some reason of design I don’t understand there was a step to the commode area - causing some stumbles during the middle of the night until we were properly acclimated. As I like to tune into the news in the morning while dressing, I mentioned the TV remote in the bed area was not working, however, this was not addressed during our stay. Relatively minor issues all in all in an otherwise comfortable and safe 3 day stay.

My daughter is currently studying abroad, and for her spring break we had planned on meeting in Barcelona, where neither of us had visited before. Freezing temperatures and snow in the United States unfortunately tampered with our plans, and I was then detained and unable to join her. At first I was nervous, but the Hotel Arts took amazing care of my daughter as she experienced her first solo vacation - and loved every moment. From all she has told me, it sounds like the Hotel Arts made a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience in every way. Special shout out to the incredible bar staff in the lobby bar who gave her an amazing list of restaurants, bars, and site recommendations. Bartenders Alex, Nicola and Diego, whose service went above and beyond, by her report, were welcoming, gracious, and terrific hosts. My daughter also tells me the woman who helped her with check in and check out was wonderfully friendly and helped her arrange a taxi for her departure and also gave some local tips. Her name, however, seemed Catalan and my daughter cannot remember how to spell it. On check-in my daughter was given both a spa and drink voucher, both of which were very much appreciated, and put to good use. In the room as well, was a lovely gift of fresh clementines, which I am told tasted wonderful. The location of the Hotel Arts is also perfect, sitting on the beach and close to attractions and public transportation. The amenities were also wonderful, and the gym was clean, spacious, and had lovely equipment. The property itself is gorgeous, with astounding views of the Mediterranean. This hotel truly held up to Ritz Carlton and 5 star standard, and every part of her experience far exceeded expectations. She couldn’t have been in safer hands and I am so glad she has such a good experience at the Hotel Art. She recommends it so highly that we are now changing our summer vacation plans from France to Barcelona. we look very much to returning to this amazing property!
