Batu Ampar Hotels with Bars

My partner booked a standard room for my birthday. The room was on the 12th floor with harbour view (room 1231). The hotel building is 13 floors with the lounge on the top floor. The room came with king sized bed with bay window seats, the bathroom had a bath tub and a separate shower room. Plus point for ladies, powerful hairdryer! Love that there was a day curtain (manual) and blackout curtain (automatic with switch) to adjust natural light coming into the room. The staff throughout the hotel was polite and helpful. The pool + swirl pool + kids pool is on the 5th floor overlooking the sea. The gym (24 hours) and spa (was advised by the spa staff they opens 10am to 10pm daily) is also on the 5th floor, easily accessible from the lift lobby. The gym is well equipped with 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, 3 stationary bikes, 2 free weight benches and some machines. The pool is clean (my stay was on weekdays) 25m in length at its longest length. Decent for laps. Great views overlooking the sea. The the whirlpool at the side is a plus point. Level 2 of the hotel connects to the adjacent Bayfront mall. The restaurants at the promenade are accessible from level 1 of the hotel lobby. There are a lot of food choices, mostly seafood restaurants. Also a hotpot restaurant. Only disappointment was the spa (Quan Spa). Went for the Quan Day Ritual for Two (2.5 hours) which included stone massage, ear candling, coffee body scrub and mask (plus V-spa Retus for ladies) for Rp 2,000,000 before taxes (with taxes was about Rp 4,000,000 = SGD 400). Quality of masseurs was poor (massage techniques, temp of the hot stones), inattentive service, unclear instructions (possible due to language; masseurs speaking simple English). Wasn’t told about the start of the mask, only to realized we had to rest for 15 mins for the masking process. Also insufficient information given for V-Spa Retus which was done near the end of spa session. Quite disappointing given the price point.

I arrived early at 1030am and went to the reception. Fortunately room was available on the lower floors which I don’t mind. Check in was fast, staff were friendly. The room was huge with all the amenities and a huge bathtub with a strong and hot shower. Bed was comfortable with 4 huge pillows. Safe and fridge in the room which was carpeted. Swimming pool was big with a well equipped gym. My first stay here and will definitely be back.

AP Premier is one of the oldest hotel in Batam Indonesia and was known as Novotel in the past. The hotel was one of the top grade hotels in Batam when I stayed there 20+ years ago (yr 2001). Although there are many hotel options now days in batam but AP Premier is still my favorite place to stay when visiting batam for business trip recently. The hotel location is good to me. It is very near to ferry terminal, Habourbay (in fact within walking distance) and Nagoya, the old town center where most of the tourists from Singapore would like to visit. The hotel public area is quite spacious. The breakfast selection was great. Room is clean and comfortable to stay. Hotel service is awesome especially the front desk team like Miss Wani and Mr Dona are exceptionally helpful.

Down side: No signs or directions provided to walk from harbour bay to hotel once you are on the road, we ended walking round n round. 2) Staff promised to call or text me when rooms are ready to check in failed to do so. overall check in not good. Plus points: welcome cakes with personalised note to greet us. 2) discount for spa services to complimentary 1hr massage as service recovery for poor check in experience. Cleanliness can be improved as bath towel was a little yellow.

Good business hotel laying in the heart of Batam Centre. Room is clean and the closets smell like new. Toilet have integrated bidet and is, as well as the shower, well maintained. Breakfast is nice with a various choice of local and western meals. Served by motivated personell who will help you when you need them. The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because I feel that the price / quality is not really correct. In my opinion the price is too high especially when you have to pay extra for breakfast. If you're a businessman this will be the perfect hotel to stay for you. For leisure it's also a good hotel, but there are other hotels over there who will offer you enough for 50% of the price I paid for this hotel.

The hotel location is convenient and easily accessible (walkable distance)from the Harbour Bay Ferry Terminal. There is a Chinese restaurant directly opposite the hotel, and a convenience store is also available nearby. The hotel staff are friendly and we also received welcome drinks. Hotel amenities and facilities are modern. The room was decent and clean to a certain extent as there were some minor stains on the bedsheet/bed cover. The water pressure for shower was good. However, the toilet floor still got wet easily due to the short coverage by the glass shower screen. Loud music and people singing could be heard at night as there was a club/pub nearby. This would be fine if you don’t sleep that early. Overall, the hotel is definitely value for money and the location is great!!

I was impressed with the majestic lobby that has enermous interior decoration 😁. ( I was not prepared that the lobby will be that majestic) The check-in process was quick and smooth and had spa treatment while wating the room to be ready. I booked the leading category one but i must say the room is exceed my expectation, it was very very spacious (really spaciouss) the bathroom also veryy verryy verryyy spacious and superr cleannn,its a good choice to have short staycation, the hotel is quite near to nagoya shopping area. But too bad i didn't take proper picture because i was enjoying my ”me time” at that moment. I would like to return for another short vacation again!

First time stayed at Evitel hotel and was a nice,clean and decent 3 stars hotel. Room is quite clean with all the basic necessities.Hotel is about 5mins walk to Nagoya Hill shopping mall.Reauest for hair dryer and was sent to us last than 5mins.We will come back to stay with Evitel hotel for our next trip and will strongly recommend to our friends to stay in this friendly and nice hotel. Thanks to christine the hotel reception for her helpfulness to call grab to ferry terminal.And lastly not to forget the most friendly, courteous and welcoming manager,Ms Tanti.

The first impression once step in was great. I'm a simple person, not that fussy so able to adapt to the environment within expectation. Booked this through Booking.com and was required to paid in cash. Not enough cash in hand. Luis the entrance concierge helped me out. He offered to ride on bike which he explained it will be more safer with him around. Thanked him for that. Entrance concierge - Credit to the young chap, Luis. He's polite and went extra mile. 5/5 Front desk - Always love the culture of the people who provide services here. As always very gentle and polite. But they will look better in standard uniform. 5/5 Room 601/602 - we checked in family of 5. 2 big spacious rooms with kids who are active running around. Cleanliness can be improve. Cups not cleaned. Still have stained. Room 602 not fully utilised with cup spoon, bathroom liquid or bar soap and shampoo not filled. The mattress not comfy as I can feel the spring. The hot water not working. Need to focus on essentials. 2/5 Breakfast - not much variety for budget hotel. Consider good enough. For family with kids, would love to see cereal for kids breakfast. 3/5 Checkout - It was pleasant as we traveled during the holiday of SG. They have taxi standard rate so u don't need to worry to travel around. 4/5 Location - Very near to pubs and shops. 5/5. Walking distance of 15-30mins to Nagoya Hill Mall. Overall Rating - 3.5/5 Thank you for the hospitality.

It's location just a very short walk away from Harbour Bay ferry terminal. As this harbour bay ferry terminal integrated building is going to be fully complete soon, as it's look like to be... but just can't confirm as this project should complete long time ago. I book the superior room as it's look new and clean to me. Nearby there is also the Harbour Bay Mall, two seafood restaurant and quite a few food store/kopitiam. Also it's just less than 10mins drive to Nagoya area for shopping and massage. Only down side was there no swimming pool in this hotel and also if you stay at lower floor you surely will hear the music pumping hard and loud as the club location on level 1 at this hotel, it will play till late.
