Despite the thrilling winding mountain road, the hotel is still quite distinctive. You can see the hotel's honeycomb exterior in Lao Dabao Village, which looks like an alien flying object halfway up the mountain.
The room has a strong sense of design and advanced facilities, but I booked the wrong room type. You need to climb stairs from the living room to the bedroom to the viewing platform in the honeycomb room, which is not suitable for the elderly.
The bar and cafe have a great view. The villagers' performance that night was not scheduled, and a sightseeing bus took everyone to Lao Dabao Village the next day to watch the village evening.

This hotel is really great and the service is excellent!
We booked a hotel chartered car for a half-day trip to the ancient tea garden and Lao Village. The lady at the front desk thoughtfully prepared backpacks with ethnic costumes and hats for us to take photos. The driver and tour guide took us for a walk along the way. There was also a designated hotel in the ancient village. In the teahouse, you can enjoy a cup of tea while viewing the mountains. The hotel also brings fruits and snacks, which is very thoughtful and warm!
The hotel package I booked included the experience of making tea cakes. A tea artist took me to visit the tea factory, and then I pressed the Pu'er tea cakes myself and wrote my name and message with a brush. It was very ritualistic, haha!
The sutra copying and tea garden afternoon tea included in the package were also great. The tea artist lady (I think her surname is Tian) also carefully recorded a short video for me to take as a souvenir. I really want to thank her!
It is also very relaxing to have a spa in the tea garden. Even if it is only a facial treatment, there is also a full body relaxing massage. Thumbs up to the beautician's technique!
In short, I feel that this is relatively niche. In the hotel in the tea garden, you can visit the ancient tea mountain, a world cultural heritage, and you can also have some sightseeing and experience projects. It is clean and not boring. I have already recommended it to many friends!
Review: Eterna Venue Hotel (Liu Shi) - A Tea Mountain Retreat
As a self-proclaimed “well-travelled” individual, I never expected Jingmai Mountain to take my breath away again—but it truly did. The journey here is a testament to Yunnan’s untouched beauty, with rolling emerald tea fields, ancient forests, and villages where ethnic tribes have lived for generations.
We decided to stay at Eterna Venue Hotel (Liu Shi) instead of the many BnBs on the mountain, having often found those overpriced and lacking in cleanliness. What a pleasant surprise this hotel turned out to be!
From the moment we arrived, the warmth of the staff made it feel like home. Many of the team members come from nearby tea-farming communities, and their passion for the land was palpable. They didn’t just serve tea—they shared stories of the heritage behind it, offering insights into the different tea varieties and local traditions.
The room was spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with high-quality linens. I loved waking up to the sound of roosters and the first rays of sunshine streaming through the window. If you’re like me and prefer to leave the window open at night, the fresh mountain air is the perfect way to start your day.
For breakfast, don’t miss the fresh rice noodles and seafood congee—so flavorful! The fruit selection was also fresh and changed daily.
A pleasant surprise was finding Cha Ling (a premium LVMH brand) as the hotel’s amenity. Made with tea extract, it added a luxurious touch to my stay.
One of my favorite experiences was the traditional tea baking session, Wei Lu Kao Cha. We gathered around a carbon stove, sipped Pu’er tea, ate locally harvested fruit and nuts, and learned to bake our own tea leaves under the guidance of tea masters.
The staff’s pride in their cultural heritage shone through in every interaction, making what could have been a simple stay feel like an immersive cultural journey.
For anyone looking to experience the authentic soul of Yunnan’s tea mountains, Eterna Venue Hotel offers more than just a place to stay—it provides a meaningful connection to this beautiful region.

Facilities: The facilities look old at any time, but they are actually good. The facilities are also quite complete, toothpaste and toothbrushes are good, as well as cotton swabs and sewing kits. There is a gym, a swimming pool, and the parking lot is quite large, but there are still not enough people and cars during the Spring Festival. The outside of the air conditioner is outside the window, the sound is relatively loud, I hope it can be improved.
Hygienic: The first feeling of the whole room is OK as soon as the door is opened, but when I sleep at night, there is a smell of sewer in the bathroom that spreads to the room. I have to close the bathroom door to smell it.
Environment: The location is 200 meters next to the National Square, 5 minutes walk, and the Spring Festival is also more lively and there is a party. It is not noisy at night. The breakfast room is also relatively large, the environment is elegant, and the dishes are quite complete.
Service: Bring children to stay, lack of toothbrush slippers, tell the front desk 5 minutes after delivery.
Hotel leisure area tea break: a can of tea presented, after two bubbles, tastes good, it is worthy of a tea resort! Forgot to take pictures

I lived with my friends before, I felt good, and then I would go to Lancang to find this hotel. The boss was very enthusiastic, because there was no parking space, the boss patiently told us that I could park at the entrance of the hotel, thank you very much. There is a tea set in the room, a good tea, and a small green tea, very good
