A little paradise. Price is high for the area and English is not so good, but the room is amazingly beautiful and the grounds have gorgeous plants, and it is right across the street from the lake. The restaurant is indeed a site to see with a nice view of the lake.

My experience at Terres Rouges Lodge was completely ruined by the general manager, whose attitude was shockingly unprofessional. She was rude, immature, and completely unhelpful. She showed no hospitality—no greeting, no smile, and no effort to make our stay smoother. Even our welcome drinks were just left unattended for us to find. On the day of check-out, I chose to stay quiet to avoid confrontation, yet she still made passive-aggressive remarks. Mind you, my team paid over $2,000 for a two-night stay. Given the terrible service, I can’t understand how someone like that holds a leadership role, but considering the overall lack of professionalism, it wouldn’t be surprising if this was a family-run business with no real accountability.

While the hotel is empty. We were given a fairly average-sized room, but that's not the problem. Very dark, long, and musty. No terrace, even though the empty rooms next door had one. Our clothes were soaked by the storm the day before. I asked for laundry for 2 pairs of shorts, 2 t-shirts, and some underwear, and they wanted to charge me $13 for clothes that hadn't even been ironed. That's ridiculous. Breakfast was nothing more. Canned fruit juice.

Family atmosphere, rooms with very clean and charming local decor. Bungalows and swimming pool in a garden that seems to be outside the city. Discovery of elephants in their natural environment which are part of the family which welcomes us. Very varied and good local and international cuisine.

The best hotel of the province. Its the old mansion of the former governor. Great pool and gardens. Safe private parking for car or motorcycles. Friendly staff. From there you can go on a track through the jungle on an elephant. An amazing experience and an example of how to treat animals well and giving them back a close to nature life. Definitely recommended.

Several types of rooms spread across several buildings of 1 to 2 floors. Initially they want to give us a room 1 meter from the street, ultimately it will be a small, quieter suite. No fridge, no TV. Box, wifi, hot water. Bathroom with outside shower not practical. Air conditioning works well, soundproofing not good. Cleanliness leaves something to be desired. Swimming pool with fresh water.
