Centinera Resort

We are traveling as a family (2 adults + 1 child, almost 2 years old). The room is very small, especially the space between the bed and the closet is very narrow. However, it is perfectly adequate and manageable. The bed was not made freshly during our entire stay. New bath towels are provided upon request. The rooms are vacuumed daily, and the bathroom is briefly mopped, but not cleaned. The carpets in the room seem to have many stories to tell, judging by the countless stains. Breakfast is fine; don't expect too much... dinner is the same. Now for a point that bothers us personally: There are a lot of school groups present, which shouldn't really be a problem. However, the way the hotel handles this is. The school groups eat before the other guests, meaning that some dishes may already be sold out, especially in the evenings. If you eat at the same time as the school groups in the restaurant, you will be asked to sit at the back tables. This means that the tables with a sea view are always occupied by children. Furthermore, the noise level is enormous. There is a slightly more private room where school groups would have plenty of space and a sea view, etc., but simply a little more peace and quiet for the other guests. According to the hotel description, the pool is actually included. Since we had already seen the students staying there, we wanted to use the pool with our child. We were then told that it was reserved for them only (but no one was here at that time). After a brief protest on my part, we were allowed to use the pool. I would understand if the indoor pool was completely closed during the summer months, FOR EVERYONE. But I don't mean that school groups are allowed to use it while other paying guests aren't. As a guest, you constantly feel disadvantaged, and that really shouldn't be the case. I have sympathy for the school groups and think it's great that they have the opportunity for such vacations/outings, but not at the other guests' expense. Incidentally, we and the other guests are staying in the older building. This means old oil, leaky windows that are difficult to close. The same goes for the room door. The school groups are in the newer building... The reception is always staffed, but it's hardly helpful. The hotel's location is beautiful; that's its unique selling point. Next time, we'd look for an apartment nearby and not book at this hotel again. Unfortunately, because they could really improve this place.

Beautiful and quiet campsite, which has a beautiful beach on the gulf, the beach is made of white pebbles and on the side there is a beautiful cliff, also excellent for snorkeling and relaxation! The campsite is very quiet and super clean, bathrooms are super private and secluded, everything very relaxing! I recommend it! (I stayed in the camper pitch)! Prices are a bit high though

After much deliberation, we decided on the Centinera Resort because we booked very late and the location right by the sea had convinced us. We booked directly through the resort. We spoke to a very nice lady who spoke good German on the phone and then booked. There were three of us traveling (2 adults, 1 child aged 11). We chose an apartment with a breakfast buffet. The location of the apartment right by the sea is very nice for families. Unfortunately, the exterior of the apartments looks rather cheap and the stairs and floor a bit dusty and dirty because the material seemed difficult to maintain. Inside, however, we were in a more positive mood; everything was clean and inviting. There are two balconies with a side view of the sea, but unfortunately they are too small. It would have been nice if they were a bit bigger (there is hardly any room for three people). We did manage to eat dinner on the balcony a few times, but it was extremely cramped and the table was very small (there is a larger table in the kitchen, but we wanted to eat outside). The breakfast buffet was a huge disappointment for us. Everything seemed cheap and lacking in care. So we canceled breakfast for the rest of the days and catered for ourselves, which we were much happier about. The kitchen is very minimally equipped (for example, there was only a small cutting board and the stove only had two burners, which sometimes didn't even fit two pots at once). Despite this, I managed to cook a few delicious meals for my family, but it wasn't easy. The cleaning ladies were always friendly and changed the towels daily and made the beds once. They also always asked nicely if we needed anything else. I just wished the floor had been cleaned every now and then (but I didn't ask, they definitely would have). Cleaning products for the toilet so we could clean it ourselves now and then would have been nice too. The bay is very beautiful and the water is clear. To the left, it's very busy and there's hardly any shade; a water trampoline, pedal boat, kayak, etc. Everything is available. Be sure to bring a lounger or padded mat. To the right, it's rocky, a bit quieter there, and there are some shady spots, and you can also snorkel there. The restaurant is okay; the coffee is cheap and the pancakes are delicious; however, we wouldn't eat there; there's live music every evening. Parking was easy and close to the apartment. The resort's location is ideal for excursions by car (Medulin, Pula, Cape Kamenjak, Rovinj, Hawaii Beach...), but we wouldn't recommend it without a car. We only saw the lady at the reception briefly, but she seemed unfriendly. The Centinera Resort is really beautifully located, and children will have tons of fun with the water activities on offer. You can choose from two different beach areas.

Location directly on the seafront. Very modern, spacious, and clean rooms. Good breakfast buffet. Unfortunately, there are few vegetarian dining options nearby. The reception staff was rather unfriendly. The rest of the hotel staff was friendly. Parking is not always available at the hotel (depending on the time of day and travel time).
