REPOSTED: As I extended my room here and stayed twice because it was so good (and cheap!)
This is a great hotel and was a pretty screaming deal. I now look for any Conrad brand for any city I visit. I paid about $170ish a night here in Bangkok.
Service was fantastic and extremely patient. When I checked in I had a lovely conversation with the staff. I think there was a small issue checking in but it was quickly resolved and I didn't even realize there was an issue besides the fact that the staff called over a supervisor and shared a few words in Thai. But after that I struck up a conversation with the supervisor about Chiang Mai and elephants...Soon I was walking to my room and I was none the wiser and check in was pleasant and easy.
I actually extended my room here and the staff was extremely patient. I just wish that they shared that they price matched!!! I booked again through trip.com and the front desk happily combined my two bookings to my same room so I didn't have to switch rooms. If they told me that they would've priced matched I would've booked directly through them for points! I slept in really late and went to the front desk to request late housekeeping, and it was great. I came back to a perfect room with slippers, new bottles of water, and my room serviced even in the later hours of the day.
I didn't have a chance to try the food, only Japanese and Chinese and a bar a la carte menu? But it seemed like nice restaurants. I just wish that maybe there was more of a selection but they had 24/7 room service food/menu I believe?
When I checked in they asked if I had a hilton honors account which I said I did not. The front staff collected my email and number and made my entire account for me! Much faster and convenient than at competing locations I have stayed at such as the Marriott. Later that night I got a handwritten letter from the staff illustrating my honor account number and wishing me a great stay. They also recommended some nearby markets and street food. Very impressive!!
I did not have time to try all the amenities but they seemed extensive and impressive with a large pool, restaurants, and spa area.
I would recommend this to anyone who can afford a little more for a hotel! Very affordable with very very impressive service and room quality.
