A Warm Welcome and Thoughtful Surprises Our arrival was met with a refreshing welcome drink, setting a delightful tone for our stay. We were also greeted with complimentary snacks and a beautifully presented mocktail—perfect touches that showcased the resort's commitment to guest satisfaction. The resort made our anniversary celebration incredibly special! A delicious complimentary cake was arranged, and the room was beautifully decorated to mark the occasion. The thoughtful attention to detail and the personal touches, led by the amazing hospitality of Debalina Duttagupta, Adelina, and Vijay Bisht, made our anniversary feel truly magical. Upon check-in, we received a base room upgrade—an incredible perk that immediately elevated our experience. The upgraded room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and featured stunning views of the lush surroundings and Nandi Hills in the distance, adding a serene touch to our stay. A Feast of Options for Breakfast The complimentary breakfast was another highlight of our stay. The buffet offered an impressive array of options catering to all tastes. From fresh fruits and pastries to live counters serving hot delicacies, the breakfast experience was indulgent and satisfying. Evening Snacks and Unique Experiences The evenings at the resort were filled with delightful surprises. Complimentary snacks were served, and we were treated to a variety of engaging activities that added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. We tried our hand at mini golf and archery, which were both fun and relaxing. The resort also organized a Tambola session that brought guests together in a lively atmosphere. One of the most memorable moments was getting our caricature drawn by a talented artist—a unique and cherished keepsake from the trip. For those seeking relaxation, the painting therapy class provided a creative and meditative experience. Dinner at Aalishan Our dinner at Aalishan, the resort’s fine-dining restaurant, was a culinary delight. The highlight of the meal was the chicken biryani, which was absolutely delicious and served in generous portions. The rich flavors and perfect balance of spices made it a standout dish, leaving us thoroughly satisfied. A Touch of Karnataka Culture A visit to the resort's Halli Katte area was an absolute delight. Year delayed review for an outstanding place After checking out from Kabini River Lodge, we were able to make quickly get onto the highway that passed through some picturesque landscape to mysuru and then onwards throgh the expressway onto bengaluru. The journey from Kabini to bengaluru has been speeded up with the advent of the  expressway and we really envy the bengalurites who can now end their week with safaris at either kabini or bandipur. The roads are nice, and what better to spend the weekend than the forays into the forest. There's also the refurbished Empire on the expressway where you can stop for your bites of porotta and biryani.  The only challenge is of course navigating the traffic within bengaluru, as we  discovered. Bengaluru must easily be one of the toughest places to navigate around, and we were on the longest stretch having to drive from the mysuru side to devanhalli which was on the other end. After a rather long stretch of Bengaluru Darshan, we finally managed to make our way to marriott prestige golfshire resort and spa which was our choice of stay for new years eve. The resort is located on the foothills of the nandi hills within a gated community that comprises of several row houses and community centres. As we checked in, we also discovered that a large number of families from the city were also checking in for new years eve. The property is large, and the footfall was as large on the day. Despite the chaos, the friendly staff helped us out quickly and even managed to give us an upgrade onto a room with a large terrace overlooking the pool. The room was large, and had all of the key amenities that you would expect from a premium resort. The property is new and is easily amongst the largest from the Marriott group in India.   New years eve per se was well planned with us opting for the Eastern restaurant, the food was splendid and the whole affair was very well managed despite the rush. Right through our stay, the restaurants (Indian, Eastern and multi cuisine options) and  the service at Prestige Golfshire was splendid throgh out.   There were enough activities for kids and adults alike, and the highlight was the paintings that the highly skilled artist helped us with. The trek up Nandi Hills was nice as well, and so was rhe city tour,  helping us discover some of the places around Bangalore that you would never catch up on whilst on business trips. Chikballapur with the Adiyogi statue is another gem to travel to especially in the evening when you have the prayers and the laser show. The spa was another highlight- the team was superb. And the rooms were a stand out from all of the other spas that we have been to. The resort has a large golf course and one can opt for some serious rounds there if interested. It's also a nice place for birding, with a variety of birds around the water bodies and trees.  We certainly would love to go back to Golfshire again.
