A nice stay at Bandos but not quite as luxurious as I perhaps thought.
Difficulties with money exchanging and general help with financial matters did hinder our stay, but overall the staff were excellent.

It’s a trap! It's not like a resort island at all. The environment on the island is poor. There are basically no good beaches on the whole island. I personally feel that it is not as good as the hotel beaches in Sanya. The facilities are old. I walked around the island twice and basically didn't see any staff, let alone any services. There is no Chinese butler (those with poor English must pay attention). The catering is very average. My wife and I thought that the hotels in Male were not good, so we went to Bandos for one night. As a result, the sand house villa cost 2600 per night, and the round-trip transportation to the island for 2 people + environmental tax was 240 dollars (about 1800 RMB). In total, this night spent 4500. I specially comment here and hope that everyone will pay attention to it in the future and don't step on the pit again.
