Simple, yet beautiful hotel centrally located in Bandarawela. Ideal for 2 nights! We made an excursion from the hotel to the Horton Plains. We set off early in the morning at 4.30 am with a driver and our super nice guide Segar. We were at the viewpoint on the Horton Plains at sunrise. It was beautiful! As we drove to the starting point, we were able to see deer up close. A great sight! We then started our hike on the approx. 9 km circular trail to World's End and Bakers Fall. The weather was perfect for the hike, as Segar had recommended the early hike so that we could still enjoy the beautiful views. Our return journey was by car to Ohiya, where we enjoyed the must-have experience - taking the train back to Bandarawela. Many thanks to Segar for the wonderful trip.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay, the hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and friendly, and we particularly enjoyed the dry martini on the terrace! The location and the views were excellent as well, and we would definitely stay here again!

Die Wanderung in dem Tee Berg war super! Er hat bei der Hinfahrt uns Früchte und Gärten gezeigt und auch erklärt! Die Wanderung war in unserem Tempo ! Die Pflücker Familien waren auch sehr nett, so wie bisher in Sri Lanka alle einheimischen Unser Guide thanujan war sehr nett!

Our family recently stayed at the Orient Hotel and thought it was very confortable. Rooms were spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly especially Roshan. Great entertainment in the hotel with karaoke and the billiard table. There was a good supermarket (Cargills), food court (above Cargills) and restaurant (La Cocina) within walking distance.

Nous avons utilisé les services de l'hôtel pour une randonnée sur deux jours avec une nuit en camping. Notre guide Pulendran a été génial et nous a fait découvrir des paysages incroyables et d'innombrables variétés de plantes et d'oiseaux. Nous avons passé la nuit au camping de l'hôtel et c'était tout simplement génial dans un cadre extraordinaire, avec un emplacement pour voir le lever du soleil à 2 minutes de marche. Les tentes étaient spacieuses et le campement disposait de toutes les commodités. Le repas et le petit déjeuner étaient royaux, digne d'un hôtel de luxe.

Solid hotel for 1 or 2 night stay. Very friendly staff who go out of their way with assistance. Breakfast is varied and fresh. Rooms were clean and towels were changed daily. Rooms had a strong fan (not air-conditioning) but that was sufficient given the more moderate temperature of the region. Short walk to town.

Das Hotel Orient hat uns super gut gefallen. Sehr sauber und das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Am zweiten Tag haben wir eine Wanderung gemacht. Trilak, ein genialer Typ aus dem Hotel hat uns bei der Wanderung durch die Gemüsefelder und Teeplantagen begleitet. Es war ein wirklich eine wunderschöne Wanderung. Die Zimmer sind mit allem ausgestattet was man so benötigt. Perfekt. Wir sind sehr zufrieden.
