Bancroft Inn & Suites

Our car broke down on Sunday evening in Bancroft. We got a room here, the wall mounted heater was very noisy and not operating well. Called front desk, they did not send anyone to investigate, he said it was fine. Turned down sheets at 8:00 to find a long black hair and food in the sheets. Called front desk they offerred o bring us new sheets, I declined and asked for a new room that was clean. Floors were dirty, debris etc. we moved to another room, was cleaner but inside of comforters have tons of little black bits of debris, not sure what they are. We asked for a late checkout as front desk person knew that our car was broken down and we had no where to go. I asked to pay for a late checkout and he said they could not accommodate as the room was booked for later that day. Told him I was willing to pay a fee for this. He insisted no. There were only 2 cars left n the parking lot, this hotel was empty. He did nothing to help. The hotel Is cheap but there are other cheap hotels in Bancroft that I would explore first. This hotel Is walking distance to nothing, it is dirty, dated and the customer service it terrible. The sheets are old and pilled, the comforters are dirty on the inside.

The property was minimalistic and we knew this when booking. If you are looking for a budget friendly short term stay this hotel is good and it is clean.

The staff was excellent. Very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, it wasn't very clean. The floors were very dirty. There wasnt a lot of lighting and one lamp was very broken. There really needs to be some amenities.

Clean comfortable room with enough space you aren't tripping over wack other. Bathroom had a large counter, which I really liked. Ice machine close to the rooms. Good value, very clean.

The place claims luxury in the write up but it is very basic. We found it odd that there were no lamps at the bedside
