The hotel is just downstream of the waterfall, not on the side of the road. You have to follow the path to find it. The environment is still very good. It is the kind of Laotian-style wooden building. The sound of the waterfall is a bit loud, but everything else is very Not bad.

Rustic and mostly okay. The location is sensational. Breakfast was simple but sufficient. Dinner was lovely. We stayed 2 nights. It was great to be able to get up early and see the falls before the tourist buses arrived. My only complaint would be the bathroom. There was water on the floor the whole time from some leak and the shower was cold. There is an excellent restaurant close by called Carpe Diem which helps raise the standards a bit. It's the only accommodation near the falls so worth it if you like 'camping.'
