The Ivy Hotel

I booked an overnight reservation for my husband's birthday celebration. The entire experience was unique and simply outstanding in every way! We were made to feel VERY SPECIAL by each and every staff member with whom we engaged. We were CONTINUALLY welcomed throughout the stay from the person who opened the car door and greeted us by name to the very knowledgeable concierges, the room service staff, the culinary staff, the bellman, the driver, Lottie Dottie and EVERYBODY! The hotel was very clean and beautifully adorned with pictures, books, furniture, plants and artifacts that told the story of the hotel. This includes the very accommodating bedroom with a comfortable canopy bed and a pristine, spacious and updated bathroom. One could ALWAYS count on soul-stirring music playing in the background of every public space. Each tune moved us to murmur the lyrics regardless of where we were and what we were doing. Ever had a snack attack? No worries! The room was well stocked with a variety of goodies and beverages to soothe those evening urges. And, finally, let me praise the food selections offered to us at teatime and breakfast. Homemade jam, almond butter, muffins, oat flapjacks, chicken sausage, eggs, and more! This was quite an awesome getaway! And, yes, we would do it all over again!

The Ivy hotel is my favorite spot in Baltimore. My husband and I go multiple times every year. The decor is so beautiful, creating a very warm and intimate atmosphere. The food at Magdalena is delicious. And every staff person is warm and welcoming. They are the icing on the cake of a perfect weekend getaway.

My recent stay at The Ivy Hotel was phenomenal. The moment we pulled up to the valet parking area, we were greeted, by name, our bags were taken to our rooms, we were ushered inside where we were welcomed with champagne. Teresa provided a tour and historic overview. James, the concierge, took over to check us in and promptly seated us for afternoon tea. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming. Our rooms were large and lovely; well stocked with beverages and snacks, every detail was taken care of, to include a delicious breakfast at Magdalena the next morning. I could go on and on, but I will just say thank you to the staff. I regret I did not get to meet Jhayson, who I booked with, he sold me on The Ivy Hotel, and rightfully so. I highly recommend this establishment and can’t wait to return.

This was perhaps the best hotel experience I have ever had. Not just in Baltimore, but anywhere. What’s more, it was our wedding night. The concierges, Sydney and James were fabulous, and treated us like royalty. Gave us a tour of the property with champagne flutes in hand. Even the valets knew who we were as we drove up. This is an old Baltimore mansion reconfigured. It has history, beautiful architectural details, and every modern amenity. If you are looking for the best, this is it.

Booked a staycation for my wife as her birthday gift, and it was worth every penny. The whole hotel is a work of art, the staff and service is impeccable, and the cherry on top is so there are no hidden fees or charges.

We stayed at the Ivy over the last several days for a getaway for our first wedding anniversary! We just arrived home in Chicago, and writing this review was quite important to us. This was the best hotel experience we have had - the absolute best. It gave us what we were looking for, peace, quiet, and rest. Every aspect of our stay was met with thoughtful and intentional staff members who ensured that our trip was personalized to our exact needs - from calling us by name, to the car service taking us to the train station for our day trip to DC, to greeting us with a special “Happy Anniversary” card and treat, to taking general interest in who we are. Our conversations with Calvin, for example, brought us so much joy! We stayed in the bright and spacious Suite 9 - and it was consistently serviced throughout our trip. We didn’t have to ask or lift a finger. Every aspect of the space was clean. Last, but certainly not least - the food was the best we’ve had! We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast and enjoyed it by our courtyard view at the suite’s table. Tea Time was also scrumptious! We simply can’t wait to return for our next special occasion.
