The Ivy Hotel

I booked an overnight reservation for my husband's birthday celebration. The entire experience was unique and simply outstanding in every way! We were made to feel VERY SPECIAL by each and every staff member with whom we engaged. We were CONTINUALLY welcomed throughout the stay from the person who opened the car door and greeted us by name to the very knowledgeable concierges, the room service staff, the culinary staff, the bellman, the driver, Lottie Dottie and EVERYBODY! The hotel was very clean and beautifully adorned with pictures, books, furniture, plants and artifacts that told the story of the hotel. This includes the very accommodating bedroom with a comfortable canopy bed and a pristine, spacious and updated bathroom. One could ALWAYS count on soul-stirring music playing in the background of every public space. Each tune moved us to murmur the lyrics regardless of where we were and what we were doing. Ever had a snack attack? No worries! The room was well stocked with a variety of goodies and beverages to soothe those evening urges. And, finally, let me praise the food selections offered to us at teatime and breakfast. Homemade jam, almond butter, muffins, oat flapjacks, chicken sausage, eggs, and more! This was quite an awesome getaway! And, yes, we would do it all over again!

Went to the spa as a birthday gift and looking for a new place as my massage therapist For 12 years is retiring. Staff were very nice however the massage room itself was bright, not darkened and not very relaxing. Can hear all the sounds of the street outside. I was hoping to have a more of a deeper message for neck tightness but despite me requesting for them to work on my neck a bit deeper it was not done. Not sure if it's because of the type of massage booked but was more of a light massage. Bed was heated which was great . Arrival and check in with all staff was great but I'm not sure the entire experience is worth the price

A most wonderful experience. The hotel is lovely. My room was beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful. I used their complimentary car service. Breakfast and tea are included as well as all amenities and drinks, snacks in room. The Magdalena restaurant was charnibg and delicious. Highly recommend.
