Tried to reserve 10 rooms for a group. We are traveling around Ireland for 2 weeks but only spending one night in each location. Refused our booking because we are not staying 2 nights. We have move on, lots of other great places in Connemara without this 2 day restriction. Seems like they are doing very well and don’t need the business!

The location is beautiful and the gardens and walks are stunning. The view from the terrace and restaurant is stunning. The decor is old world and very stylish and the rooms and the entire hotel are immaculate. The staff are wonderful and work so hard. In particular Adel in the bar was excellent. The breakfast was very relaxing and the manager in charge was outstanding in terms of his customer service Highly recommended if you want to relax and get away from it all. Thanks to all the staff.

My family and I stayed for 4 amazing days as part of a Northern Ireland tour. This is a truly unique setting. Great food. Amazing staff. The best shower in Europe and they catered to our every eating need (including food allergies). Expect to stay on property and book a couple of activities a day if you go. Don't expect to take a cab to anywhere (why would you need to?). We didn't catch any fish but just being by the river created such a unique energy. Check out the Saunas and take a cold plunge in the lake afterward. The walking tour was fascinating and engendered companionship with other guests.

We visited The Owenmore just before Easter and is was amazing. Thank you @Kevin Foley for helping with reservation and a table with stunning view. Everything we ate was incredible in terms of taste and presentation. Good selection of wines. While it is not always easy to get a booking, stick with it as well worth the experience. Great ambience and service!

What a special place to stay and explore. We had a lovely room with a view of the river. It was so peaceful. The grounds are wonderful to walk and quite expansive. We stayed one night and wished we stayed longer. There is a lot to do on property. We ate in the pub which was fun. The mussels were absolutely perfect. Breakfast was amazing. There was not one thing they could have added to the buffet or the hot menu. We had wonderful service in the pub and at breakfast.

An all time favorite for us! We absolutely love the Ballynahinch. It is exceptional all round. It is our second time there. We came back because we loved it so much, and the second stay was even better thanthe first. The peace, quiet and stunning natural surrounding of the Ballynahinch is like no other. It is a retreat and a haven that is not easily found in our (too) busy modern world. At the same time, it offers exceptional luxury and comfort. We booked the classic room this time (classic riverside last time), and the room far exceeded our expectations (size, comfort, views). The breakfaast and dining are excellent. There is a wide variety of activities on the resort and the location is perfect (central to all the main attractions of Connemara). We wish it was closer (we live in Canada) so we could go more often. Despite the distance, this is a place we will come back to again and again for sure.

The service was extraordinary. What you'd expect when paying this amount of money. The staff were all super friendly and professional. The food was great. The main restaurant for dinner is an experience. Breakfast even better. Top notch. Rooms beautifully decorated. We did the sauna for 2 (60 euros total). This was fun. Great setting. It gets so hot that you can hop int eh lake which we did despite the frigid temps outside. Its a great place to walk, ride bikes, have a drink by the large # of fireplaces, hear yourself think. I highly recommend.

The food, the staff, the room, the amenities, the grounds were all outstanding. Our room was immaculate, comfortable, quiet, and perfect. The breakfast was delicious, full of variety, very fresh, and yummy. The most exceptional experience was the falconry with Jason. He is delightful and attentive. His knowledge, skills, and ability to share the experience with others was absolutely fantastic. It was even more fun and fascinating than we could have imagined! We have been traveling in Ireland for 16 days. Jason and the falconry were the very best activity we have enjoyed. And Ballynahinch was our favorite spot! We want to go back already!
