Had heard so many good reports about the Galgorm so I was looking forward to going. We booked an overnight stay with dinner. The grounds are lovely , the staff welcoming however the rooms are warm and a bit outdated. The thermal village was over crowded with alot of areas closed for routine maintenance other areas had to be booked at the thermal reception so an additional charge. The elements had good panini s however very over priced at £16. The cocktails were also over priced at £17 (don’t get me wrong I am happy to pay as long as they are nice ) the cocktails were very sweet I asked could they make it less sweet however they didn’t seem to think this was an option. I opted for one I thought had no syrup and it was sweet with less alcohol than should be. The Irish coffee again had less alcohol in it than should be I know as these are my favourite. We were booked into gillies this restaurant was fly infested we along with other residents spent our time swatting away flies I killed 5 When I mentioned to the waitress she just smiled and didn’t take me on board Clearly this is an issues and has been for a number of weeks as reviews have reflected. For Breakfast we went for the buffet again flies everywhere made u not want to eat anything. Which is sad as the food looked good with a lot of selection. For a resort of 4 stars and prices of 5+stars this is not acceptable you should really fix the issue of flies clearly there is a problem with refuge storage or disposal. I mentioned the fly issue at check out and received an apology However it appears that the staff are now used to this issue and take it as the norm which it should not be. I would have scored this stay less than 3 stars if it wasn’t for the few polite and friendly staff we encountered All in all not what it should be, very disappointing.

By any standards, the food and drink at the Galgorm Resort are very expensive. However, as a spa getaway, it’s manageable as a treat. The rooms are very comfortable and the setting is picturesque. My main issue is the spa cafe Element. In terms of price, range of food and quality, it fails. The cheapest item on the menu is a £16 pound panini. This arrives as a soggy mess, accompanied by a blob of supermarket coleslaw and some tortilla chips. This can be washed down with £6 pound tea. It would be no exaggeration to say that the Spar in the village has a better range and quality of paninis. I don’t need a generic email from the Galgorm but I would challenge the management to eat there. I would also make a couple of other suggestions to help if maintain its standing as a quality resort - the robes and towels have seen better days - the main sauna, steam room and ice room wore close for maintenance.

Very uncomfortable stay. Tv wasnt working in room so we tried to phone reception, no answer so left it on speaker ringing, after about 15 minutes we got dressed and went down. Two people at the desk and nobody else about so just ignoring the phone. The worst part the room had no temp control or air con.. it was like so unbelievably cold warm, tried to leave window open but the noise outside between the bar at night and the workmen in the morning… for £300 a night we have arrived home absolutely exhausted and feeling like crap to be honest. Supposed to be break away for a night and overall just a stressful experience

I stayed in the hotel as a return guest and as always the experience and service is exceptional. I absolutely love visiting the galgorm....in my opinion no other spa area will ever compare! The staff are so friendly and helpful and do their utmost to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

We stayed here last night in the shepherds hut. Lovely little wooden hut with an electric fire and an outdoor fire too. The thermal spar is amazing and felt really relaxed after being in there. We ended up out for dinner in Fratelli which was unbelievable. Staff really helpful and very friendly. Even a few compliments on my scouse accent 😂👏 highly recommended a stay here.

Absolutely fabulous gem in the forest on a river, but close to everything. We stayed in Forest Den 7 - glamping with Irish charm and hospitality. Our accommodation was unique and we enjoyed the hot tub over the river at least once daily, the outdoor shower is nicer than some indoor hotel showers, a sauna, and fabulous lay back relax chaise lounges. Each staff interaction was cheerful, helpful, and kind. A 10 out of 10. We will be back again.

We arrived on the 14th of July for one night. We had planned to check in at 3pm then use the spa before a meal we had booked in Gillies however our room wasn't ready until about 3 45 pm which didn't leave us enough time to use the spa. We went for our meal which was quite expensive £30 for burger and chips we had a 3 course meal in a near by restaurant a few days before for £25 which was a much better meal. We didn't enjoy our meal because of the flies which were everywhere I also noticed all the other guests constantly switching them away which made for a very unpleasant experience. We then went to the spa which we enjoyed. We didn't get any sleep because of the heat in the bedroom which was like a sauna however we were aware that Galgorm has no air con before we booked and we had exceptionally warm weather. Fan in the room was of no use. We also found the pillows very uncomfortable but again that can be down to personal preference. After a very bad nights sleep we went down for an early breakfast with the intention of using the spa before we left however after seeing the uncovered food covered in flies we had enough and we just wanted to get away from the place .I have since filled in a customer feed back form which I received reply stating that they would look into the fly issue but I have been thinking since why would the staff not deal with this before a customer complaint because unless they are blind you couldn't miss seeing flies all over the uncovered food in what is sold as a luxury hotel. We have always enjoyed our previous visits although quite expensive . Due to the issues with heat and flies we would be reluctant to return during summer months .

We had our wedding reception at the Galgorm and it was everything we had dreamed of. The entire experience was flawless, and we couldn’t be more grateful. A huge part of that was thanks to Donna who was truly outstanding. She guided us through everything with an amazing attention to detail. Nothing ever felt overwhelming with her and she made the whole experience not just stress-free, but genuinely enjoyable. The reception space itself looked absolutely gorgeous. Everything was set up exactly how we imagined, and seeing the room come to life was a real highlight of our day. It all felt so elegant and welcoming. The food was another standout part of the venue. From the main meal to the evening bites, everything was top quality and all of our guests commented on how amazing it was. What really impressed us was how smoothly everything ran throughout the day. The staff were attentive, organised, and completely on top of everything, allowing us to just relax and enjoy every moment. Galgorm is truly a 10/10 venue — we wouldn’t change a single thing about our day, and we’d do it all over again there in a heartbeat.
