I had to send my food back 3 times because my chicken was pink. I will not recommend this place to anyone and then they still expected me to pay full price with something I wasn’t happy about, customer service absolutely terrible. Please check your food if you’re eating here. Cost £34 for a salad and a starter with two zero sugar lemonade.

Found by chance as we toured the north coast . Staff very welcoming and had a very pleasant stay, eating in their bistro/ restaurant. Excellent breakfast too and could not fault. Would certainly stay again and Ballycastle is a very pleasant little seaside town.

Dry calamari as starter Asked for water for table which never arrived Ordered steak and Guinness pie, instead of steak it was filled with mushrooms. Really poor table service, waited 30 mins to order. Won’t be back, I’d advise going elsewhere

We stayed at the Marine Hotel for two nights in July and it was a disappointing experience. The main floor of the hotel, which houses reception and the restaurant is modern, however, the upstairs where the rooms are looks like a youth hostel. The difference between the two areas is jarring. There were three of us in the room, which was included in our booking, and when we got upstairs there wasn’t enough towels for each person. There also wasn’t shower gel in the shower (the holder was missing the bottle.) They were nice about it and brought more towels—but only two mini shower gels— but it felt like they weren’t prepared for our arrival. The room was extremely warm, and because our room was located on the side/back, there was no breeze. The water pressure in the shower was terrible, and there was no room in the bathroom to put your belongings. Additionally, the walls are so thin that you can hear all the hallway conversations, and when your neighbor closes their door, the wall shakes. Overall it was a poor experience and we wouldn’t stay again if ever in the area, nor would we recommend.

Just spent a couple of nights in this lovely hotel. The location is fantastic right across from the beach with lovely views. Had a meal in the restaurant one evening and the seafood chowder was delightful. The check in was easy, the staff were all welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped. It is well located for all the main attractions on the Causeway coast. Would definitely return.
