I had high expectations for the Ice House Hotel, but unfortunately, my stay was far from what I expected from a so-called five-star establishment. First, the breakfast was a major letdown. The quality of the food was poor, and the service was slow and inattentive. I expected a better selection and higher standards, but it felt more like a budget hotel experience rather than a luxury one. The facilities were also underwhelming. For a hotel that markets itself as high-end, the amenities were lacking and in need of improvement. It didn’t have the comfort or sophistication I anticipated. To make matters worse, the staff was not friendly or welcoming. Good service is a key part of any hotel experience, and the lack of hospitality made the stay even more disappointing. Overall, I wouldn’t rate this as a five-star hotel by any means. If you’re looking for a truly luxurious and enjoyable stay, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

We stayed here overnight in march (found the place with Rory's Travels). We had a room on the river. The view from the window is something special. It's such a relaxing hotel. The spa area is lovely with different rooms to avail off. The tub area overlooking the river is gorgeous..... We had a 3 course meal which cannot be faulted. The restaurant staff are lovely. Breakfast was had in the room overlooking the river as it would have been a sin not to. Deirdre in reception is very polite and helpful. Highly recommend this place for relaxation.

What a fabulous hotel! Top of the list the staff who were so engaging and friendly. The bedroom was class overlooking the river and watching the birdlife was special too. The breakfast and evening dinner was delicious. Could have stayed longer. Well done to all involved in The Ice House Hotel!

Warm welcome , friendly staff , food with a flare of taste ,style and mouth watering flavor,the spa the spa is good very good staff are brilliant , the outdoor Jacuzzi and sauna ,hotel it self has some old charm with its wood burner ,meet and great lounge and lovely views ,waking up to the sound of the wild life on the river just made it so relaxing great way too recharge the batteries and spend a wee bit of time together

The perfect place for a relaxing break. Such a picturesque setting. The riverside room was stunning. Loved our time in the thermal suite. Enniscrone beach is close by and great for a nice walk. Delicious breakfast and recommend the prawn tacos in the bar menu.

We stayed in the Moy Heritage suite. Bed was most comfortable, bathroom had walk in shower and a large freestanding bath. Food delicious with great selection to choose from. Staff were very cheerful and helpful. Spa area with views down the river were so relaxing. We were very happy to have chosen the ice house for a 2night Spring break. Thank you to everyone in The Ice House. Nigel and Mary Foxton.

I had a fantastic birthday stay and was wonderfully taken care of by Rachel and Rowen in the restaurant—they were both so lovely! The service at the spa was excellent, thanks to Katrina, and Ashling made sure we were well looked after. Matthew at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. Will be back!
