Schloss Weitenburg

This castle hotel is a real gem. Of the beaten track and so grand. The fact that it is still in the same family for 300+ years is amazing. The staff was very welcoming upon our arrival. It must be a good place to work because ALL the employees seemed very happy and content serving their guests. Rooms are spacious, clean and modern facilities. The views of the valley are spectacular. There is a golf course for the golfing enthusiasts. I must say, this is my favorite of the many castles we've stayed. Will definitely return!

Felt like bugs were crawling all around me and have gotten bitten!! And very creepy vibe but clean bathroom! We arrived around 10.30pm and no one was around no one at reception to help us, we let ourselves into the room and no one was around either in the morning when we had to leave at 8.30!

I really enjoyed my visit . A proper castle complete with a baron ! Staff, including the baron, were very friendly. The breakfast was good and the one evening meal I had was really delicious. My bedroom was comfortable with a lovely view of the countryside

A bit like a castle from the Grimm brothers. So we felt when we arrived. What we first noticed besides the building itself, was the peace an quiet. Very relaxing. We had a room in the south wing with the most impressive bed we ever slept in. We were told by the owner that it stood once in an apartment on 5th avenue in New York. Just loved it. Loved the whole south wing! Beautiful and quirky wallpapers and fabrics. Such a love to detail. We also had a very good dinner at the restaurant on a table with stunning views over the Neckar valley. Breakfast was equally good. Service impeccable. At the reception they even knew our dogs name. As a dog owner and lover one is of course deeply impressed. Would go back any time. Had a really good time.
