We stayed as a group of 6 at Villa Vida over the past weekend and had a fantastic time. We were impressed from the minute we entered through the door – the villa was spacious and well laid out with double volume ceilings in the living room which welcomed us with abundant natural sunlight streaming in. The manager Gus Tu showed us around the villa and everyone ooh-ed and aah-ed at the contemporary architecture of the villa. The pool is a wonderful size (I believe it is 15m length with depth of about 1.5m) and is built in the centre of the 3 double rooms which are built as annexes to the villa. Waking up to a view of the pool every morning was bliss. The master room is huge and occupies the entire second floor of the villa. The villa has wonderful indoor-outdoor spaces to lounge around at and we truly enjoyed the outdoor lounge area – some of us lay down on the sofas to read, and some of us floated on pool floats. We were together with each other but each enjoyed our own little space of peace and quiet. The sound system in the villa is excellent – we could connect to the speakers in the living room and outdoor lounge areas through Bluetooth connection and play our own poolside mixes. Although the villa does not provide breakfast and there is no onsite chef, we had many food options on Grab and arranged for food delivery. The staff were very helpful in helping us collect the food from the driver, plating it nicely, arranging plates, wine glasses etc. We were very well looked after with 5 star service. Special mention and thanks to Kadek Ariastana – he displayed great initiative and helped to coordinate the (many) food deliveries we had. The villa was very clean and well maintained. Prior to arriving at the villa, I was a bit worried whether the villa would be dated as it is not a newly built property. However, the villa exceeded expectations and I was very glad I made the right choice! The villa is very clean, well maintained and efficiently run with a team of enthusiastic and service oriented staff. Some constructive comments (although it did not mar our experience) – the mood lighting in the living room is a bit dim even though we had turned up the dimmer to the brightest setting. We had a slightly difficult time reading the cards when we were playing a card game. Although the water heating was good, the water pressure for the showers is quite weak. However, having stayed at many other villas inBali before, I know this is a common problem and may be out of the villa owner’s hands as much depends on the water pressure infrastructure in the area. There is some minor construction going on some distance away – this starts at about 8.45am and ends around 5pm. However, we were kindly informed by the villa management beforehand and had prior notice so it was no issue at all. Also, the noise level is not major – it did not involve piling or drilling. On most mornings, we were awake by 9am and ready to jump into the lovely pool in front of us an
