Well our stay at Ulaman was magical. It was just what we wanted which was a few days of calm peace with luxury. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The room was amazing and very clean! The special touches were very well appreciated such as the welcome gifts ( bag and a sarong) ( snacks in the mini bar) and the salt scrub and bubble bath in the bathroom. The beds by the pools were very comfortable and the SPA (plus 60 min massage included) was lovely. We loved the hot and ice baths! The food was decent but we were expecting a little bit more… breakfast was nice but the pastries need to be replaced by better quality goods. We used the hotels car to take us back to the airport and it was a very comfortable car and the friendliest driver. Our overall stay made us very happy and we will make sure to spread the word for others to visit too.

We stayed at the Ulaman resort for 4 nights.The architecture blends in with the natural beauty of the jungle, it is amazing. From the moment we arrived I could feel the stress melt away. Every staff member went above and beyond. The food is incredible. The spa and the treatments are fantastic. I can't wait to return.

Although the hotel opened in 2020, if it is used by the standards of a 5-star hotel, the maintenance of the facilities is really not good enough. There is a little bit of moldy smell in the bathroom, and there are also traces of mold on the wooden bathtub. The hotel has 2 restaurants but only 1 kitchen and the food is the same. The hotel is located in a remote area, and the nearest convenience store is 20 minutes away by car. Because it is surrounded by woods and rivers, there are really a lot of insects, so be mentally prepared before checking in.
You can only order one meal per person for breakfast, and the portion is not enough. The point is the lady who served us had a bad attitude and tone, but she was a different face when serving the blonde foreigner. This hotel is nice if you just want to take photos and check in, but we will not visit it a second time.
