I think we had one of the best villas in this place, in terms of its view - rice terraces. The villa is quite sunny. On the second floor there was a bed (mattress), but the pillow was moldy, so sleeping there would be problematic, no one slept there.
In the bedrooms, except for the second floor, there are air conditioners. There is a kitchen and enough dishes, and if there was a saucepan, it would be a complete set (there was only a lid for the saucepan).
We liked the villa, despite its shortcomings, but if they were eliminated, the place would be even better.
I worked remotely from this villa. Luckily, I take an extension cord with me, since the sockets are far from the tables. The Internet was good, the speed is over 60 Mbps in both directions, but on Friday, when many people arrived, the Internet speed dropped to 0.5 Mbps and it was impossible to work or just open web pages. The nearest large store is 25-30 minutes away on foot, and there are already a lot of cafes/restaurants and other stores. We walked there and took a taxi once.
It is difficult to call a taxi in Ubud, here we had to wait 20-40 minutes for a taxi from a well-known carrier, 5-15 minutes to find a driver, and returning to the villa was an even bigger problem. Feel free to multiply the waiting time by 2.
There are a lot of animals on the villa, they are more active after the rain - the frogs decided to make a chorus, but this is not a problem for us. Several lizards live under the roof, one frog in the yard, many snails and caterpillars and some worms, one small monitor lizard. And then there is the disadvantage itself, which the owners can eliminate - all these animals leave traces of their existence in the form of excrement, on the floor, on the walls, sometimes on things. They can clean up the floor a little, but they don't clean the walls, and there's a lot of that stuff, especially near the hangers.
In the photo of the villa, there's a man in the bathtub. This could have been possible if the bathtub and the courtyard area were cleaned. The bathtub gets dirty with leaves and other small things every day. I used it as a shower. There was plenty of hot water, and it was hot outside too.
Breakfast, like in many places, was monotonous, but here it was the most delicious. There was even a piece of bacon 🤣. The juices were fresh, not concentrated, but diluted with water and in small quantities. The amount of jam and ketchup was strange. Once they even gave us butter, although they could have given us every day. We had to ask for an extra portion of jam. We never ate ketchup. We always ate breakfast on the terrace.
There is a large TV, but there may be that problem with the Internet. There are a lot of board games - the children were busy every day. The pool is great, but hot because of the sun, only in the evening it is super, when the air cools down, and the water is warm.
The pool and territory are shared. Toilets are outside and the bath is not under the roof. One toilet is under the roof, but it is always humid there.
Incidents at the villa. Some guests used a drone and it flew over the villas, including filming the bath and toilet. Ideally, such things should be limited in use over such areas.
At midnight, neighbors came to us and asked for a charger for Apple Watch, and wrote in the translator "they stole their phone". Who are "they", the owners or locals, I do not know, or the whole translation was wrong.
In general, the villa can be suitable for a long term, but you need to adapt to transport if you need to go far. You will also need to use the laundries, but they are nearby.
There was no curtain on the side of the fields.
I would put this place on the list of those where I want to return.
