Everything went well, we checked in a little earlier, the staff was friendly, the villa was very big and spacious, the kitchen had everything to cook dinner. In the morning the staff prepared breakfast for us. Thank you!

Arrived half hour early in the middle of changeover. The pillows and bedding were thrown in the garden. Pool was cloudy with tiles broken and missing. Pool daybed and bean bags old and stained. No privacy from the security tower in the lane way. The villa is isolated in a dirty remote lane with rubbish and rubble. Indoor lounge looked very uncomfortable with thin old foam with stained old covers. Greasy kitchen, dirty microwave, thick dust on stairs, cobwebs, broken bamboo blind. Overgrown gardens and no mosquito fogging. I looked at my partner for his reaction and it was the same. Didn’t look any further as felt creeped out by this place and that’s enough indication of the lack of professional housekeeping and dilapidated state. No way would it be clean in half an hour. This needs a deep clean and refurbish and new decor. Paid 3 days in advance and no refund or partial refund for misunderstanding of the misrepresentation of this villa as a beautiful haven when it’s more like a backpackers. Very disappointing. Go to Bali Tropic it is immaculate with attention to detail.

We stayed at Villa Lidwina for 3 nights and enjoyed the villa. This traditional style villa was very clean and well appointed and spacious with a lovely outdoor area and pool. In a very quiet location so relaxing was easy. Close to great southern beaches and beach clubs.

First think to note is that this review is not on the property it's self but the booking process and property manager. I booked the villa for 2 adults and 3 children via popular booking engine. Agoda. The booking was rejected, why you ask? "The price was too low", yes that was the response. I have no controll over pricing! So anyway, I then went to another booking site Booking .com. they had the villa priced $200 higher for my 6 nights so I booked that with instant confirmation and payment. Moments after booking I get a message saying that as my booking is for 2 adults and 3 kids it's effectively a 4 person rate and one room will be locked for use during our stay. Nowhere on booking .com does it mention anything about this. For the record it does say that 4 people have 2 rooms but it doesn't say my child doesn't count as a person. I found it best that I cancel the booking (for free) and get the refund and look elsewhere. We're not a rich family but we don't try exploit people either. We're happy to pay a fair rate if we're told what we are getting from the outset. But to have a booking cancelled because the price was too low and now this rings bells to me. We're out...
