The staff is helpful and friendly. The location is excellent for beach access. Guests appreciate the satisfying breakfast and cleanliness. The King Suite offers comfortable amenities.

I stayed here for 5 nights during December 2022. Upon arrival the place looked cosy, secure and check in was easy. The room was spacious and I unpacked and settled in. However the peace was not to last. As this is a home stay, the place is busy. My room door basically entered the car park and was the back end of the restaurant so there wasn't 1 night my sleep wasn't disturbed by one noise or another (and I always sleep with ear plugs). I was also wakened by a barking dog at least 3 times around 6am. Unsure who this dog belongs to, if anyone so may not be the properties fault. The bed, floor and bathroom was about the only clean things in the room. The wardrobes and under beds thick with dust. Through the back there was a bizarre room with a fridge, a sink and a gas hob. The sink was very dirty. The gas hob had no utensils or instructions and to me seemed a little suspect I did not trust the appliance or the outlet. Hence why it seemed bizare as this was not suitable for self catering use. The fridge was clean. I had booked breakfast with the stay. On my first morning, I had a pancake, tea and a fruit platter within 2-3 hours I felt sick and couldn't leave bed without feeling dizzy, I was physically sick within a few hours and spent 2 days in bed. When I told the owner this he questioned what I had ate, was offended I said it was his kitchen and reminded me this was a home stay and not a hotel. I asked for the charge for breakfast to be removed at the end of my stay as I didn't have food here again. This was a drama and took a while to sort out whilst my driver for the airport was waiting. I noticed the water running from shower had a vile rotten egg smell, as did the bathroom sink. Which makes me wonder if this was linked into being unwell if all the water supply smells this vile. The shower was also very temperamental, I had to play about with taps and levels daily to adjust temperature and to get the shower to actually stay on. I did not wash my hair in this water, I ended up going to a salon for a wash and blow dry. I am not sure what the room cleaning set up was supposed to be with it being a home stay. When I arrived I had 2 clean towels. The3rd day of my stay the room was cleaned and a fresh towel left. They changed the bed and left almost plastic like pillowcases on the bed which was very uncomfy. I did not get a room clean again so by the day of check out had no clean towels. Overall It was a risk to book a homestay. So Ive learned my lesson. If you want a hygienic, comfortable place to stay I would advise to spend a little extra and go to a hotel as the standards here are significantly lower.
