The Kayon Valley Resort Ubud (Adult Only)

The hotel is located near the center of Ubud. By the way, the hotel provides a transfer to Ubud three times a day and to the Kayon jungle resort. The area is all green, like a botanical garden. The view of the canyon, the jungle - very beautiful. The villa with a pool where we stayed is also good. The only thing that surprised me was the lack of hot water, I really wanted to take a shower after the road, but we never got any water. In the bathroom, after a long drain of cold water, hot water appeared. The breakfasts from the menu are gorgeous. You can order as many dishes as you want. The presentation is beautiful, like in a restaurant, the service is at a high level. The hotel staff are very friendly, always with a smile and a desire to help with any questions. You can order food from the restaurant to your room, they cook very quickly and the prices are normal. The minibar is paid. Chips, beer, wine, soda. Overall, I really liked our offer here. There is nothing interesting outside the hotel, you need to use the hotel transfer or call a taxi to go, for example, to the center. I recommend the hotel 👍

The hotel is beautiful and conveniently located. It is not a new hotel, but it is OK overall. The only thing I think is very average is that not all the hotel staff are up to standard. The management system is also average. They do not provide the services that a 5-star hotel should provide. They are very slow in handling matters and do not provide guests with very good services. I think a villa needs to provide better services. The price is cheap. They do not provide the services that a high-end villa should provide. You need to remind them of many things and repeat the requirements over and over again.

Why didn't anyone mention that there was a loud gecko in the room? Please avoid this hotel, it's a pit, the worst hotel stay ever, how bad is it? I didn't sleep all night! I changed hotels at 5 am! The price of this hotel is definitely not low for similar rooms, but I booked it because of the nice view and pool in the hotel photos. I checked in at around 7 o'clock, then went out for dinner and came back at about 11 o'clock in the evening. Not long after returning to the room, I heard a sound similar to a baby crying. It was scary. I thought it was a bird calling. I asked the staff and they said it was a gecko that would make a loud noise. There would be one in every room, and it was unavoidable, but I didn't need to worry. They said it might be outside the roof. I heard that and thought it was okay. I just endured it. But I didn't expect that from the time I lay down at twelve o'clock, it would bark loudly every few minutes, and every time when I was about to fall asleep, it would start barking again. I wore earplugs in the middle, but the barking was too loud, as if it was barking next to my ear at the head of the bed, and the earplugs were completely useless. I couldn't bear it any longer and asked the staff to deal with it. I asked to change rooms, but the staff told me that the room was full that day (they had clearly persuaded me to pay extra for an upgraded room type when I checked in at night), and that I couldn't change rooms, but they could help me catch a gecko. So at around three in the morning, two Indonesians came to my room with long bamboo poles and knocked on the ceiling in various ways, but to no avail. The gecko would still bark a few times every few minutes, and the staff was helpless and had to ask the staff to go out, thinking that I would fall asleep soon after lying down, but the situation did not improve, until five in the morning when I couldn't bear it any more, so I packed my luggage and moved to another hotel nearby. When I checked out, the front desk supervisor said with great contempt: There are this kind of gecko in every room, and they will make noises. Most of the European, American and Australian guests in the hotel don't think there is anything wrong with this. Why are Chinese people so sensitive? I was so angry after hearing this, but I couldn't argue with her after a sleepless night. In short, it was the worst hotel experience in the world!
