It was a super great experience that I recommend to all nature lovers! If you love new experiences and the feeling of being disconnected in the middle of nature, this place is made for you! People are super nice, food is good, and there are a lot of beautiful waterfalls to discover around! The reception/restaurant is a very chill and relax place, the half-open shower is perfect, landscape around the tent is amazing !
Response from Property: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a perfect experience and enjoyed the natural beauty, friendly staff, and delicious food at Desa Eko. Your recommendation means a lot to us, and we're glad you loved the unique amenities and the stunning waterfalls nearby. We hope to welcome you back for another serene getaway soon!

Such a wonderful and well made place. We totally enjoyed our stay and we felt so comforted. The breakfast and dinner at The Botanist was stunning. We thank the lovely crew of Desa Eko for making our stay an outstanding experience. We can absolutely recommend to everybody going to Desa Eko and explore the Munduk area from there.

Amazing place to stay with amazing view. Food was delicious and super fresh. Seriously cant get over how good the food! There are many stairs to get around and quite high steps, wouldn't suitable for children or eldery. They also have yoga deck besides the river which really nice to practice and stretch a bit in the morning. And 15 mins walk to nearest waterfall.
Response from Property: Hi Sunderi P, Thank you for your kind words and feedback! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the amazing views and delicious, fresh food during your stay with us. Providing delightful culinary experiences is one of our top priorities, so we're thrilled that you couldn't get over how good the food was! We appreciate your mention of the stairs and steps on our property. While they offer stunning views, we understand they may not be suitable for everyone, especially children or the elderly. It's wonderful to hear that you enjoyed practicing yoga on our deck beside the river and we hope you had the opportunity to explore the nearby waterfall during your stay. Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another memorable experience in the future!

Clean, good atmosphere, great views and very friendly personnel. Would certainly recommend this place (we had two tents (Cacao and Papaya) with family of two girl of 9 and 7). Children loved this place as well. Great start to do the waterfall trail, first waterfall is close 👍. Thanks.

We stayed at Desa Eko for 2 nights in the Vanilla Tent. Everything about our stay was magnificent. The staff were lovely and so welcoming. Beautiful walks to the local water falls. DELICIOUS!! Food and great atmosphere at the Botanist (good tunes!) The highlight of our stay was the water blessing with Mangku. Hosted by Rico from the hotel. He made everything about the experience special, told us story’s of Balinese culture. Highly recommend the experience if you’re looking for some scared healing. ✨🙏

We stayed at Desa Eko for 2 nights. The Studio was amazing and perfect for us. Everything was clean. Welcome drink was served upon our arrival. I celebrated my birthday while there and had a special attention (bday cake, flowers on bed) which was really a kind gesture. We also had breakfast and dinner at their restaurant The Botanist... the meals were excellent. We also had the waterfalls trekk with Edy, our guide. And we also did a balinese cooking class at Ely and Rico. Their hospitality was exceptional... we felt at home. Thanks to all the Desa Eko team. It was a short stay but will definitely recommend the place.

Not worth the money. The views are amazing and the surrounding area is beautiful to explore but this place is not worth they money. And I'm not sure why there are so many reviews raving about the food - for me the food was really disappointing and very bland (even the Indonesian classics had no flavour) this was really disappointing when this is the kind of place where it's better/ easier to eat at the hotel! The tent itself was old and worn - the mosquito net part of my tent was so worn out that it ripped so I had to sleep with the mosquitos and other bugs coming in for two nights. On the positive, the bed was comfortable and the shared toilets were clean and the Wifi was good in the restaurant and in the tent. I was also disappointed that there was no seating area outside of my tent - it would be nice to sit outside in the evening under the stars but there was zero space and not furniture to do so which was a real shame. The yoga deck is unmaintained and you have to ask for a broom to sweep it before you can even do yoga yourself there. That's too bad because without yoga and without some orientation to the place, it just seems kind of odd to stay there. They do not have any unique activities on site- There's no community vibe or encouragement to interact with others no yoga class or trivia or cooking not even an evening fire - nothing. For me to want to pay more to stay in a tent this was a little disappointing. To be honest I would NOT recommend to a friend I think I rather would stay in a cabin or nearby hotel which would feel like better value for money.

Great place, with beautiful views and good food. You can take a Balinese cooking class or do yoga on the deck overlooking water flowing to waterfall and you can hike to three beautiful waterfalls nearby.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!!!! In 20 yrs of traveling in Bali this was most disgraceful experience ever!  We booked the only studio rm (with only private bath) for our anniversary. Paid extra (300) for it. When we arrived they showed us to a child size tent (you cant stand up in these!) on a wood platform. We were told the studio was booked and WE made the mistake even after we showed them what we paid and our booking!  The tents are tiny and windowless. There is no seating or room for it on the platforms so NO WAY TO ENJOY VIEW. You cant leave tent door open for the fresh air or view as you would be eaten alive by bugs. The COMMUNAL bathroom is not close and all the high steps are wet and slippery. No lights so if you want to pee at night your only option is over the rail of your "terrace". What a joke! I don't even want to go into filthy fly infested state of communal pondoks or resturant! We were able to observe all of this on arrival. Shudder too think how bad it really is! We refused to stay and requested refund based on faulse advertising- they refused! They also would not call us a car so we could leave! There is no Uber up there people! They didnt care that we were stranded! We ended up getting rides on motorbikes from kind locals who used to work there. They told us the inside scoop about this place! Dont stay here and support this horribly managed place that mistreats its staff! We went to a top end resort nearby for only 100/night!

I had an amazing time at Ekommunity! The cabin was stunning and the nature sounds, along with the nearby waterfall, were so soothing at night. Our suite had a fantastic outdoor bathtub. It's the perfect place to relax and take a break. I'd definitely stay here again and tell my friends about it. The staff was super nice and helpful too!

I absolutely loved my one night stay at Ekommunity. The staff for extremely helpful and paid close attention to detail. The room was clean and very well equipped with more than i needed. The on-site restaurant was a culinary delight. And most of all the submersion in nature and east access to hikes was my favourite!

An amazing hidden place in the woods of Munduk. Great atmosphere to relax in nature, do yoga, eat healthy food, and go trekking in the waterfalls around. Don't miss the opportunity! The staff is always nice and welcoming, and the other guests are warm. Also, you can enjoy the coziness of sitting by the bonfire at night!

Favorite place in bali! I’ve come here about 10x now and it’s my favorite place to come solo, with my partner, friends or family (even older parents)! I love that you just arrive and don’t have to take your scooter or car anywhere. There’s an amazing restaurant with delicious food. & access to 4 waterfalls within an hour hike! The tents & beds are very comfortable and have an amazing view. Hiiiiiighly recommend !!

We stayed at the studio which is the lux experience at Ekommunity. The studio is a self contained small apartment with its own living area, desk, bathtub, bathroom and room. Beautifully and tastefully decorated and it had everything you'd want. We loved the experience. The staff were really kind and accomodating when we asked for an extra blanket so we could have 2 separate ones (the place is set up for couples, but we were 2 friends). We loved the construction and how cozy it was, also very private with great views on to nature, tea and a fancy tea heater, bathtub, etc. There were a couple of things that we didn't really love, namely: the included brekky was a bit of a ripoff. Truly not good, and also not enough. They have perfectly suitable options on the normal menu (separate menu for included brekky) but those weren't available to choose from, which I think for the price of this studio they perfectly could have. One day we decided to get one of the normal breakfasts and they didn't even have the courtesy to discount the price of the included breakfast from that one. While I'm on the topic of food, must add that most of the drinks here are really really bland, mostly just milk, particularly the chai & the golden milk. The cacao was ok but a bit pricey for the size. Generally, the food was ok. The studio is also quite close to the street and not soundproof, so we heard the noise from motorbikes and cars well into the night and early in the morning. Not exactly fantastic. So we had gorgeous nature sounds on one side, and noise on the other — but we were looking forward to a more nature-immersive experience. We were also a tad disappointed with the view from this place. In google it looks as if you're overlooking the valley, but you're not, you just see mountains across and trees, which is lovely, just not as expected from some photos of Munduk and other Desa properties. Overall it was a really good stay and we enjoyed it thoroughly, however would probably not pay this amount again for this specific place.
