We are 83 years old , so some negative feed back do not concern some people,Firstly I want to thank Arieni & the rest of the staff for their great service & help we received. The location is not we expected. We had to walk through a very untidy lane way & it took 5minuits to get to the shops & bars, 15 minuits through a very narrow lane for the beach. The beach is beautiful. The entrance to reception is very difficult as it has very high steps with no hand rail, No dissable ramp, it was very difficult to use, but the staff especialy Arieni help us most of the time. Our room was large, clean, the bad excellent, the bath room needs update,no hot water tap in sink. very little suplies of shower soap etc. The Pool is nice but small The breakfast is very good & once again the staff excellent service

What a lovely stay at the Bali Chaya. This is not a luxury hotel a 3 star but excellent in many ways. It is quiet and away from the bustle of legion, the staff friendly and very helpful. The room are of a good standard and cleaned daily, the housekeeping are very polite and good at their job, nothing too much trouble.. The breakfast is varied and in a lovely setting next to the pool, although the coffee could do with upgrading, again the staff very presentable and attentive.. The front desk are helpful and will advise on day trips if required and are knowledgeable on the best places to visit..Many thanks to you all for a lovely stay…

Rooms: we stayed in the pool access room and the small price to upgrade was well worth it with the pool only steps from the room door. Beds were hard but comfortable, and generous space within the room itself. Bathroom was basic with not much storage space. Good shower pressure and hot water. Tv offers many channels in both English and foreign languages. Wifi was relatively good. Location: the hotel itself was in a good location within Legian. The only negative is that it is in a lane 200m (2 min walk) or so from Jl. Padma Utara. The lane was very dark at night which made me a bit nervous, however the lane was generally quiet with no cars or bikes. As the hotel is far back from the road, it was quiet and peaceful. Just over a 5 minute walk to Legian beach. Breakfast: lovely food options for breakfast. Not buffet. You get to choose from a set menu. Hotel layout: this is a small, narrow hotel, with one small (but long) pool. Due to the design of the hotel and the one directly next to it, you only get the sun on the pool for a couple of hours. Water temperature in the pool was lovely, not too hot, not too cold. Overall: for the price this was a great stay. Definitely worth the extra money for pool access if that is something you like. If you can get over the lane way walk to and from the hotel then I’d definitely recommend this budget friendly hotel.

Nice hotel, central to most things, 10 min walk to beach. Friendly & helpful staff especially Ariani & Tiku . Bathrooms are a bit tired, comfortable beds. Pool & outdoor bar & eating area. The first time we stayed here we had a room which was poolside which we didn’t enjoy very much so this visit we stayed on 4th floor which was more spacious. Take your own soap as the one given is very small.

My family visited 4.5 years ago and the rooms were in great condition, sheets and towels were very clean. This visit, the sheets had stains and marks on them, along with the bathroom towels, the shower curtain also had stains along with the curtains to the balcony. Some of the pool towels also had holes in them. Used glasses in the rooms were not replaced with clean glasses. Incredibly noisy at night with the hotel doors slamming all night long with people coming and going in which we had to use white noise to block this constant noise out. The lunch menu and food from the restaurant is great. However, on one of the days we ordered room service that consisted of French fries. Upon arrival to the door the French fries bowl were practically empty as if someone had eaten them. Our curiosity of this was proven to be correct as the following day when we ordered food around the pool, we saw a member of their staff eating the hot chips from our meal behind the bar, prior to them serving us our meal. At times around the bar, there were very noisy, young staff with lots of chatter and loud music that did not make for a relaxing experience around the pool. Very disappointed and do not recommend.

Great hotel in a quiet location but still within walking distance to bars. Shops and restaurants and within a 5 minute walk via an alleyway to the beach. Friendly staff. Nice little restaurant and lovely pool. Nice rooms. And great value. This is my 4th visit to this hotel and no reason to change. Works well.

This hotel is down a quiet lane, only a 5 minute walk to the jayakarta. The room was spacious and good water pressure. All the staff were great, a special mention to Ariani who was super friendly at reception. Breakfast was good. There are about 6 options to choose from. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip advisor should revisit again , totally disappointed. One star . Smelly , poor wifi , dirty . The bedsheet n pillow stain . Bedsheet smells like 1yr never wash . I guess covid hit the hotel since 2020 . I read the trip advisor before I do my booking and get so disappointed at the hotel . This the worst hotel in bali of all stay . Wifi can’t be use , change room to room . The rate I stay is not a promotion price it’s $40 sgd per night . Some time rated r lower depend on season but yes it’s a real disappointment. It’s good for back packer I suppose

It’s a very horrible hotel . $50 sgd per night that we came . The wifi not working we ask for a change of room , the aircon not cold , the room stink , aircon noisy , pillow stain bed dirty pillow dirty . No charger point for this whole hotel . Only one point u can find next to fridge . Bedside zero charger point . Staffs r ok just not very good in understand English, service fine . It don’t justify what review stated as 8 star no honestly 1 star

9.6 “Hidden gem” Bali chaya thank you so much for your welcoming smiles every day. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. A special mention to Ayu, Putu, Dama,, surgi, made and all the lovely staff. These guys work long hours and maintain a safe friendly environment. In previous reviews I saw complaints about towels and smelly drains here’s my thoughts , you don’t live in the bathroom close the door it’s not even that bad and yes the linen might be older but it’s clean. It’s a cheaper place to stay so if you want brand new go somewhere else and stop complaining you will pay 4 times the cost elsewhere. The room service and food is great, chicken garlic tenders yumo. Breakfast is nice, I prefer a smaller breakfast so I can find something yummy for lunch. There is sooo many restaurants around and the gang is king but totally safe. Rooms are spacious with great aircon and lots of tv channels. There is no PowerPoints by bed, not big deal but would be good. I had deluxe room level 1, the couch a nice addition. Pool was a little cloudy for few days this is my only note but is great now. Overall I’ve loved my stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you Bali Chaya you exceeded my expectations

The bad: Had 3 rooms booked with large beds in each and upon arrival only 1 room had a large bed, had to wait 3 days for the other 2 to become available, upon moving rooms the aircon did not blow cold at all and had to wait another 3 days before changing rooms again, this time the aircon was somewhat cold but not properly. The pool was cloudy and green for the entire stay and was unswimable. Although the rooms were generally ok and spacious, they need a lick of paint and some new and or properly cleaned linens. The good: Location is decent, not far from the beach and restraunts and convenience stores and the staff were friendly. Included breakfast was decent and had quite a few choices and are cooked to order
