Best place to stay in Umadewi. We are a family of three with a 7 month old baby. The space, palm trees, lush green grass and views are all spectacular. All the staff were incredibly friendly and make the effort to greet you by your first name. They were also so good with our baby. The design of the hotel is simple and it maintains a minimalist approach by maximising the space and open areas which gives a wonderful feeling of freedom and openness. We also stayed at Bombora across the road and when we come back to Medewi we will without doubt stay at Umadewi. The only thing that Bombora has over Umadewi is their infinity pool. We stayed 5 nights and had every meal at the restaurant and were never disappointed with the meals. Paradise found, especially if you surf. Endless entertainment watching the waves and can keep a close eye on the break to get it at optimal conditions.

Our experience at Umadewi Surf Retreat was magical. We had an ocean front view room that was big, beautiful, and peaceful. We stayed for 10 days and would have loved to be able to stay for longer. The staff is amazing, thoughtful, and kind. The restaurant has some great food, from breakfast to dinner, and it was all so tasty. We enjoyed to massages; again, the staff was so attentive and the massages were the best we have ever had in Bali. The pool is big and beautiful. We loved the location as there are a few other restaurants nearby it is easy to walk and go and try something different, having said that we always returned to the hotel restaurant. The only suggestion that I would made would be to have ''wine by the glass''. We will definitively return and we will tell our friends by in Perth Australia about this little gem of a place. Thank you to everyone you made our stay memorable.

Beautiful beachfront property with clean and modern rooms . The gardens and lawn areas are spacious. The pool is great with sun lounges . Get in early as the old favourite of putting your towel on them and going away for hours on end occurred regularly during my stay . Great resort for surfing or watching . The beach is all rocks out the front but plenty of grassed areas to chill and watch the surf and also great sunsets. Breakfast is fantastic and menu based . Restaurant is also great with plenty of options . Enjoyed my stay at this resort .

-large, clean room in front of the pool
-easy Airplay from MacBook to Sony tv
-very delicious food at the restaurant
-clean white towels
-well manicured grounds
-beachfront
-lots of water provided daily - didn't have to ask for extra water
-drinks in the fridge free - replenished daily
Cons:
-glass doors rattle when winds are strong
-should have someone at the pool to stop outsiders from using the pool
