"The room was spotless, and even had a smart toilet. All the toiletries you could need were provided. In the evening, the owner even had a BBQ in the yard, grilling meat, oranges, sugarcane, and sticky rice cakes, plus karaoke! The sunset view from the third-floor balcony was absolutely amazing. The location is also fantastic, making it super convenient to get anywhere. It's easy to catch a bus too, with a stop just a few minutes' walk away, and it's not a busy area, so no traffic jams – very peaceful. You can even walk to Wengji Ancient Village. The owners are also incredibly kind and friendly."

The Lancang Balang Chahu B&B is an ideal spot for travelers wanting to discover the city. Visitors to Lancang will find that the Lancang Balang Chahu B&B is a fantastic accommodation choice. In terms of transportation, Lancang Jingmai Airport is approximately 73km away. Lancang Jingmai Airport is approximately 73km away by road. The nearby area boasts an abundance of attractions including Jingmai Mountain Tea Forest Cultural Scenic Area, Puyunjing Viewing Platform and Gulao Tea Mountain Villa. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. This Lancang hotel provides parking on site. Guests tell us the location of this hotel is fantastic. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The location is great, right in the center of the village. You can enjoy the sea of clouds and sunset from the second-floor tea room without even leaving. It's very relaxing, and the staff's attitude is quite good. However, there are a few drawbacks: 1. Although you can enjoy free tea in the second-floor tea room, it's a bit disappointing that there are no complimentary tea bags in the room. Even hotels not located in tea-producing regions usually provide tea bags in every room. 2. If the shower and toilet aren't separated, they should at least provide a pair of plastic slippers. Otherwise, wearing disposable slippers after a shower is very slippery and easy to trip. Not wearing any shoes isn't hygienic, especially since it's about 2 meters from the shower to the door."

The location had great views over the valley, including the early morning sea of cloud. The property has a rooftop lookout that our group could get together to enjoy the view. It helped that our taxi could drive through the narrow road of Mengben village and deposit us and our luggage on the doorstep of the homestay. This is unlike Wengji & Nuogang villages, where cars are not allowed to enter the village but deposit visitors at the village carpark. The hospitality of the owner/hostess was remarkable. She had a Pu'er tea table and made us endless cups of different tea all grown in her farm, explaining their differences and virtues. She did not charge us a cent for the whole experience. Neither did she try to hard sell the tea leaves although we did buy a small amount off her because we enjoyed the tea. She is a good cook and whipped up breakfast and lunch for us.

The luckiest decision on my trip to Wengji Ancient Village in Jingmai Mountain was choosing Guesthouse No. 69. This guesthouse, run by Brother Ni, didn't rely on flashy advertising, but its thoughtful details made every guest feel a warmth that exceeded expectations, becoming the most precious memory of the entire trip. The guesthouse's location is prime, situated in the heart of the ancient village, surrounded by cafes and specialty restaurants. The popular Beigui Coffee Shop is diagonally opposite, so whether you're looking for a cup of coffee in the morning or a delicious meal in the evening, you don't have to go far. Even more surprisingly, the room had its own small balcony, comfortable and cozy, so I decided to extend my stay. The room facilities were new, spacious and bright, the bedding was soft and comfortable against the skin, and the pillows were especially good. Combined with the tranquility of the ancient village at night, it ensured a good night's sleep. A smart toilet and user-friendly shower facilities were all provided, and toiletries and other daily necessities were exceptionally complete, dispelling all my concerns about accommodation in the ancient village, making my stay comfortable. The owner's enthusiasm and his wife's thoughtfulness were also the most touching aspects of this trip. They were like long-lost friends, sharing travel tips for the ancient village, inviting us to sample their homemade Pu'er tea, and chatting warmly and sincerely. The guesthouse breakfast was a delightful surprise: flavorful rice noodles with plenty of ingredients, sweet corn, eggs from local free-range chickens, and refreshing grapes 🍇😋😋😋. The guesthouse also offers ethnic costume rental services, with exclusive discounts for guests. Wearing Bulang ethnic clothing and taking photos on the ancient village's cobblestone streets and beside old banyan trees instantly immerses you in the local atmosphere. The owner even took a break from his busy schedule to show us the sunrise and sea of clouds; the tranquility and healing away from the hustle and bustle were unforgettable. There's no commercial alienation here, only the warmth and comfort of home. Next time I visit Jingmai Mountain, I'll definitely return to this ”warm little home” hidden in the ancient village.

This is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review even before checking out. Let's start with the issues: 1. I called ahead to change my afternoon tea time and to book a morning activity. The lady who answered said she would confirm and call me back, and she took my number. I never received a call back before check-in. Luckily, my request was noted on the reservation. 2. After checking in, I was told there was a tea experience available on the second floor. The bellhop who brought my luggage said there was a voucher for it, but the front desk hadn't given me one (I'm not sure if it was actually needed). After helping with my bags, he enthusiastically offered to bring the voucher to my room. I even said it was okay if I didn't get it, but he insisted he would deliver it. Well... he never came back, no voucher, and no tea experience for me. Haha. 3. And then things got even more ridiculous. I had booked a Ba Duan Jin (a type of Qigong) session for 9-9:30 AM. I asked at the restaurant and was told it was on the second floor? They told me to ask at the front desk. At the front desk, they said it was on the fifth floor of another building and that I needed a shuttle bus to get there. Once we arrived, there was nothing there. Then they said it was on the first floor or maybe even the basement of the *original* building? A man came out and offered to walk us back... I told him we'd take the shuttle. After going back, another front desk staff member said it was on the second floor? They seemed quite reluctant but eventually led us there. Finally, we found the right place, did about ten minutes of it, and it was over. It was absolutely ridiculous; they really had no idea what was going on. 4. For a suite costing over 2800, having an obstructed view deserves a bad review (see images 1 and 2 below). It also didn't seem to be 100 square meters. 5. The service doesn't match the price. Many services weren't available, and there's nothing much around the hotel. The staff's service level isn't good; their attitude is pleasant but their professionalism is lacking. 6. The concept is excellent, the decor style is nice, and the space is large and aesthetically pleasing.

It's very convenient to get around. It's only about a 10-minute walk to Beigui Cafe to watch the sunrise. The rooftop platform has a great view with a panoramic vista of the beautiful scenery. The owner makes rice noodles every day with broth that she has cooked the day before as the base, which is very delicious.

This hotel exceeded my expectations in the best way possible. The owner and his team are incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. The breakfast spread is simply outstanding! Our room was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with tea, coffee, bottled water, a kettle, delicious snacks, and fresh fruit. The sandals, bathrobe, and towels were impeccably clean and individually wrapped, which was a nice touch. We arose early to embark on a quick 15-minute hike to catch the sunrise, and the view was absolutely breathtaking—totally worth the early start (check out the photos!). I wholeheartedly recommend this place to my friends and look forward to staying here again on my next visit.

I really loved this hotel! It was so much cleaner than I expected, and you absolutely must book a balcony room. The view from the window was breathtaking – a sea of clouds! It was so comfortable! I'll definitely stay in Wengji for a few nights next time. I forgot to take pictures of the hotel, but the bathroom was very clean too. The owners were also incredibly kind and simple; I love Wengji Ancient Village!

The innkeeper is fantastic! They kindly offer pick-up and drop-off services to the bus stop, which is conveniently located about 1km away. The guesthouse is impeccably clean, and it's a lovely spot to unwind with a cup of tea and a good chat. You can even enjoy stargazing at night! For a more comfortable and spacious stay, I'd recommend opting for a double room.

I rarely write accommodation reviews, but this time I really want to give a shout-out 😊 Our stay at Guesthouse No. 56 in Wengji Ancient Village was exceptionally comfortable! The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was soft, and the view from the window was breathtaking – endless tea plantations and a sea of clouds. The owners, a husband and wife, are the same age as us and we had a lot to talk about. They sell tea and run a guesthouse, and even during the busy Chinese New Year period, they drove us around the sights for free, saving us the trouble of not knowing the roads and finding parking! They invited us to drink tea and chat, sharing our lives and experiencing authentic Bulang ethnic life. Although there was no breakfast, there were small shops nearby, which was very convenient. Wengji Ancient Village was our favorite of all the villages we visited in Jingmai Mountain, and I sincerely hope that no matter how long it goes on, it can maintain its simple and honest folk customs and touching scenery, and not be eroded by commercialization!

The girlfriends are together to eat, drink and stroll, travel on the staggered peak, Jingmai Mountain itinerary full score 💯 It’s right to have a rain, and it’s also right to have a sea of tea mountains and clouds! Staying at the famous hotel opened by Pu'er Tea Non-genetic inheritor Yuan Wen, the two families take care of it personally. The room is oversized and the twin bed can easily accommodate 4 people. The boss will soak in the homemade Pu'er every day to entertain guests from all over the world. The proprietress cooks good dishes. In the evening, the little brother and sister will roast corn sweet potatoes and make milk tea to talk to everyone around the stove. Although September is not the tea picking season, the tea picking experience can still participate. After the rain, the fresh air and various cicadas called to sweep the hustle and bustle of the city for two nights and three days. It was fleeting. The night before leaving, I was fortunate to taste the Iceland treasured by Master Yuwen. I returned to Gan, which was extraordinary! When I went down the mountain the next day, I rarely encountered the sea of clouds. Life is worth it! Looking forward to gathering again next time, I wish the homestay better and better!

The hotel is located in Huimin Town, Lancang County, at the intersection of Shangjingmai Mountain. It is a good hotel in the town. Although the room facilities are not high-end, they basically meet the needs. The service is very good, the reception is warm, the proprietress helped to move the luggage, introduced the scenic route of Shangjingmai Mountain in detail, drew a schematic diagram, introduced the restaurant lights, and provided convenience for going up the mountain. The proprietress cooked breakfast herself, including eggs, dried rice, soy milk, etc., and the taste was also very good. It is a good choice to stay in this hotel when going to Shangjingmai Mountain.
