Good environment, good service attitude and nice scenery

The front desk were reluctant to provide additional water bottles. I had the family suite booked and still they were reluctant to provide more than 2 bottles of water which was pretty annoying. The breakfast area was too crowded and I guess to address this the breakfast timing should be 7:00 to 10:30, closing up at 10:00 is making it too crowded between 9:30 and 10:00 and the moment it is 10:00 you will find the restaurant people winding and talking all things inside. Too much chaotic and rude.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn Baku was very comfortable.The Staff was warm and helpful. The Location is excellent. The Breakfast was sumptuous and the timings relaxed. One member of the Staff at breakfast took it on himself to remind us to come early, everyday. On a lighter note ! No complaints, we were always served well. The Rooms are large and well appointed, it was important for us as it was an 8 days stay. I would strongly recommend this Hotel for Stay in Baku.

It can be said that Baku is the most cost-effective international hotel, from the front desk to the room service are very intimate. As for the room size, it is a hotel near the old town. In addition, if it is from the airport, it is recommended to book a taxi from the hotel, the price is conscience, much better than looking for a car.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel with family largely thanks to the excellent food and the professional team. Special mention to Mr. Elfan Feyziyev who went above and beyond to make our experience flawless. His problem-solving skills are unmatched, and he truly stands out in his approach. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a top-notch stay!

In general, everything is good: a normal breakfast (yes, there is not enough variety if you stay for a long time, but I didn’t have time to experience it in a week), adequate room, wi-fi, excellent staff and price. The room was a little tired (a couple of stains on the carpet, a scratched cabinet), but everything in the bathroom was new + consumables were regularly updated and the main furniture was in excellent condition. The main disadvantage is the location: the bus stops that go from/to the center are close and run frequently, but to get to the stops you have to make your way through parked cars at services, car dealers and tire shops. As a result, I left for OT in the morning and returned by taxi.

I don’t normally take the time to review places but considering that they market themselves as a 5 star hotel I want to make sure other people considering this hotel know what to expect at least. For context We stayed in this hotel for a week as a family (2 kids) in a connecting family room. First off when we arrived and checked in, the guy at reception said they would check our documents and to please wait in their restaurant. We ordered some drinks and waited. Meanwhile suddenly they start blasting Indian music so loud in the restaurant (it was only us and another family there) that we had to go ask them if they could please turn it back down again. I don’t know for who or why they put the music on so loud. This also happened when we ate breakfast one morning. After maybe 20 minutes we went to ask reception how check in was going and were only told that “they were checking”. We decided to go and get some late lunch since we didn’t know how long we needed to wait for them to “check” whatever they were checking. If the room wasn’t ready, it wouldn’t have been a problem if they simply said so and gave us a time frame for when it would be ready. But this was a taste of the service to come unfortunately. We had a connecting family room that had one bathroom to share. The master bedroom had only a window which was a small and by the ceiling facing out into the hallway (so no external window) which meant it was like sleeping with lights on all night as the hallway light were always on. In this case perhaps a curtain for that window would be good or installing sensor lights in the hallway so the light isn’t on unless someone is there. The rooms were SO warm and when we went to check about the air conditioning they told us it wasn’t working or they didn’t have it. (Not sure which was the correct answer) They couldn’t give us a straight answer. They told us the heating had been on the night before but that they had now switched it off and allowed for “air” instead. So whatever control you have in your room is basically useless. When we asked if they could allow for the air conditioning to be turned on they just told us they would sort it out but nothing got done. We had to sleep with the only external window open during the night so at least our kids could be more comfortable. Other important things to note - we got 2 towels for 4 people. We asked them to bring 2 more which wasn’t done. Only when we saw a cleaner outside in the hallway one evening (3 nights into our stay) did we get 2 more. - there was no cleaning the whole week. We asked for more water, asked if someone would come to at least remove the garbage and they told us they would send someone but never did. - as shown in the photos, one of the single beds was broken underneath. - several sheets/duvet covers were broken, one example shown in the photos. - there was cigarette burns on the double bed headboard despite it being a non-smoking room. During my 13-hour layover in Baku, I chose to unwind at the Fly Inn Baku Hotel, seeking a relaxing break between flights. Discovered online and backed by positive reviews, the hotel exceeded expectations. The gym and pool not only provided excellent facilities but also allowed me to rejuvenate after a previous long-haul flight. Despite being in close proximity to the airport, the hotel maintained a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The exceptional Azerbaijani hospitality made me feel like an awaited guest, and the hotel's value for money was evident. While the slightly outdated furniture and bath tub were minor considerations, they did not significantly impact the overall positive experience. I recommend Fly Inn Baku Hotel for travelers seeking a peaceful layover, offering excellent amenities such as a spa, quiet lobby areas, spacious rooms with excellent glazing to minimize runway noise, and reliable Wi-Fi for those looking to work during their stay.
