The Rutland Arms Hotel, Bakewell, Derbyshire

while in Bakewell shopping we went to the rutland arms hotel we all had very good meals..good choice of drinks. all staff were polite and helpful . the hotel is very smart, toilets clean.we will go again when in Bakewell. thankyou to all. i would recommend this hotel to people after talking to guests staying at the hotel.

Positives What a beautiful hotel! We have just come back from a three night stay. The building is absolutely lovely with some great features. We also managed to get a car parking space as there aren't many. The room was lovely , clean and had eveything we needed. There was also a well stocked tea tray. The restaurant is nice and clean and has a nice atmosphere. The food was really nice and the portions where bigger than expected. The staff are really nice and helpful. Alex in the restaurant was very attentive with a lot of the customers and was the only member of staff that explained the service charge. He's a credit to the hotel and so is the lady with the braids who seemed to be doing most of the work this morning at breakfast Negatives. The bed was so hard! I ached when I got up each morning. Thats the only reason im not giving a 5. Also the coffee shop should warm the cups up. They are lovely thick stoneware but by the time they bring you the drinks they are lukewarm. Overall we had a fabulous stay and would recommend this hotel to family and friends We are allready looking at when we can return 😀

Lovely hotel and great restaurant food

Great location to stay in Bakewell. Great service and dining options. Only moan would be we stayed in a room on the maIn landing and the noise from the lobby area travels and was disturbing a couple of times

Had a very relaxing 2 nights at The Rutland Arms, food and service excellent, staff very attentive and friendly. Our room was really comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast was delicious, the evening meal was superb and the drinks choice is fantastic.

Lovely 4 poster room and got a parking spot! Staff were lovely apart from the kitchen putting them in an awkward position with long delays at dinner and breakfast. There needs to be someone on duty in the restaurant who gets a grip of this, lovely young team in there but they avoid eye contact as they are embarrassed and waiting for the next complaint. We didn't complain and left the tip on the bill but others did "could have just gone to KFC" was the comment from the table behind us.
