Property Description
Forest meets farm in the heart of Bainbridge Island a short 15-minute walk to the Seattle ferry and quaint town of Winslow. Unwind on our small farm in a dome tent nestled under towering trees in a private setting. Enjoy your day relaxing by the seasonal (mid May-Sept) heated pool overlooking the pastures of goats, ducks, pigs and peacocks. Walk bike or drive to one of our local restaurants beaches or parks or take the ferry for easy access to the city and amazing views. A hybrid tipi style canvas bell tent sits atop a reclaimed wooden deck. The uninsulated canvas tent is outfitted with a queen size bed made up European style with feather duvet (no top sheet) and quality linens. Other furnishings include dresser, Keurig coffee/tea service, games/books, space heater, and comfy seating outfitting the inside. The real treat? a spa like private western red cedar bath house bringing you truly closer to nature with the organic design, raw wood finish, and outdoor shower under the trees. Some of the cedar used in the bath house was reclaimed from leftover timber in clear cuts of the Olympic Peninsula. Outdoor loungers, string lights and a fire pit. 9Mile Farm Forest Tipi experience may not be for everyone if you are uneasy without strong wifi, room service, a roof over your head, a lock on a door, early morning farm noises, or really nature this may not be your cup of tea. Be honest with yourself, does this listing sound intriguing or terrifying? if the latter please rethink before booking. Please understand that the farm is undergoing constant improvements & various projects may be underway during your visit. We try to keep it tidy but realistically that just isn't always possible. What we truly hope, what our vision from the beginning has been is that all our guests enjoy a unique, peaceful, handcrafted experience that brings each individual that much closer to our planet, respecting her maybe just a little bit more. 9 Mile Farm hopes to provide you with a moment or more of tranquility and a fulfilling escape from society. My family and I live onsite and most likely are available if questions arise. We are happy to greet you upon arrival and give you a small tour to familiarize yourself with the property. If this is something you would like please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate. Otherwise you won't see us unless you need us, please make yourselves at home. We do want to emphasize that the space is yours to enjoy and share (in the interest of full disclosure) with an occasional owl, deer, forest mouse, mosquito, bee, spider, snail, bat or slug because one will undoubtedly make an appearance.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 10:00 AM.About children:Children allowed: ages 0-17.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About minBookingAge:Minimum age to rent: 18.About events:No events allowed.

Perfect farm oasis The most perfect paradise for glamping on Bainbridge Island. From the functional but lovely outdoor toilette and shower to the friendly goats, peacocks, and umbrella of trees and other flora to the heated pool, comfortable teepee sleeping under the stars, this property was heaven. We would highly recommend, owner was a great resource and super welcoming. I've never staged anywhere this magical. We will never forget this getaway from our busy lives. Thank you so much to the owners

Loved my stay. Tent was adorable, slept like a baby. The outdoor bathroom/shower was surprisingly nice, and it was so fun seeing the goats, peacocks, chickens, and the occasional wild rabbit every day.

Natural Oasis A wonderful way to connect with nature, through the trees visible through the ceiling of the yurt, the peacocks singing to each other and the steam rising from the outdoor shower. My daughter & I cooked our dinner over the fire pit and swam in the moonlight. Awesome!
