Just back from a week at Greenwood Beach Resort on Cat Island, and I have to say, this hidden gem was a perfect Caribbean escape for us—miles of untouched beach, turquoise waters, perfect temperatures of both air and water. The peaceful, laid-back atmosphere made it an ideal place to unwind. Pauline and Antoine are incredible hosts; low key, and thoughtful, in a relaxed way , they are on task to help guests feel welcomed and at home. Wonderful staff all around. Whether you’re looking to socialize in the inviting common areas or find your own quiet spot to relax, they’ve created a space that feels both intimate and open. The other guests were a pleasure to connect with; people were around if we were interested to visit, yet at times we were the only people in sight in the water or on the beach. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the freshwater pool so nice to swim in or lounge around. The WiFi in the main lodge works well for those who need to stay connected,. Snorkeling with Antoine was a pleasure, he knew just which reef would be full of beautiful fish, and had the prefect gear for us. —Sean the chef is an excellent cook and baker. He's so warm, and funny, a pleasure to be around. The restaurant is a treat, serving delicious meals with fantastic service, known for miles around.

Petit séjour de 3 nuits magnifique .Dans un petit havre de paix paradisiaque , avec des hôtes, Pauline et Antoine, extrêmement attentionnés qui font tout pour que votre séjour se passe à merveille .Passionnés de kite, plongée et snorkeling ils pourront vous donner des cours ou vous accompagner dans des sorties ,sans oublier une note speciale pour l'excellente cuisine réalisée par le très sympathique shun Endroit à ne manquer sous aucun prétexte lors d'une virée au bahamas

We had the best meal here. Wonderful service and delicious food. Chef Sean greeted us on arrival and is so personable. We had amazing fresh fish wonderfully prepared. Gorgeous location with a beautiful Long Beach. A don’t miss spot on Cat Island!

Greenwood has a new chef, and in a word, he’s excellent! He just arrived from Europe a few days before Christmas. Fresh baked scones for breakfast, the best! Last week a group of us had his fish n' chips and we all agreed it was excellent. Others had shepard's pie and loved it! Greenwood has an all new menu now, and it’s well worth giving it a try. You’ll be glad you did! Two thumbs up! 👍👍

Un séjour trop court. Beaucoup trop court! Après avoir quitté ce lieu paradisiaque et son personnel extraordinaire, nous avons découvert Eleuthera, une île plus au nord. C'est à cet endroit que nous avons définitivement regretté d'avoir quitté Greenwood. L'accueil à Greenwood se fait de la plus simple façon qu'il soit. Vous arrivez chez vous. On vous présente votre lieu de couchage très cosi, puis on vous guide dans la salle principale où l'on vous explique le fonctionnement de ce site. Pour en connaître les détails, il faut aller sur place. Mais pour faire simple, vous êtes à la maison, la plage de sable blanc, les cocotiers et l'eau cristalline sur votre pas de porte. Vous ne désirez rien faire et faire bronzette? Vous êtes au bon endroit. Vous désirez faire du snorkeling, de la plongée, du kite surf, du vélo ou autre... Vous êtes aussi au bon endroit. Rien n'est laissé au hasard. Ce n'est pas une auberge de jeunesse ou encore une colonie de vacances. Vous avez un excellent restaurant, foi d'ancien cuistot 5*, un service à la personne aux petits soins, et de notre point de vue, des animaux super sympas, foi d'éducateurs canins. Question animation, Antoine saura vous distraire par ses tours de magie qui, même après 15 jours que nous en sommes partis, nous énervent encore! ;-) Quant à Pauline, un vrai petit ange qui mène son personnel avec un grand professionnalisme. Question tarif, le Greenwood est largement plus abordable que les établissements que nous avons fréquentés sur Nassau ou Eleuthera, avec un service largement au dessus. Nous sommes aux Bahamas. Donc le sable blanc et l'eau turquoise, vous en avez partout! Mais jamais vous n'aurez l'occasion de pouvoir profiter de ce type de lieu avec autant d'imprévus sympas. Laissez-vous guider, et profitez de tout, à Greenwood. C'est vraiment reposant! Question plongée, je crois que l'on peut à peu près tout faire et tout voir. Raies, requins etc.. On en a vu sans plonger.. alors pensez qu'avec Pauline et Antoine, vous serez sûrs d'en apercevoir dans leurs coins secrets..

We didn’t stay here but did snorkeling trip with Antoine and dinner at the resort. Pauline, Antoine and the chef all made us feel like family. The resort is stunningly beautiful. It is a rare find when you see people actually matched with their passions and Antoine and Pauline are clearly working exceptionally hard, but passionate about what they do. Not only did we have a great time and meal - but during the activity I appreciated the attention to detail that Antoine had and keeping people safe. Don’t even get me started on the magic tricks …this place is truly magical and you’d be insane to not visit!

Sean is the most amazing and talented chef I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He goes out of his way for all the guests and will not just cook, but create the most memorable and flavorful dishes. Will be going back many times before my trip is over.
