Hotel Traube Tonbach

Nach unserem ersten Besuch im Hotel Traube Tonbach hatten wir bei Tripadvisor angekündigt: Wir kommen wieder. Genau das haben wir dann zum Ende der Sommerferien auch relativ spontan getan. Und: Es war ein bisschen wie nach Hause kommen - wir bekamen nach dem Begrüßungs-Champagner (Vielen Dank!) eine schöne, geräumige Eck-Suite mit herrlichem Blick auf das Tonbachtal. Neben den großen Highlights - Top-Top-Gastronomie, großzügiges Spa, herzlicher Service - sind es die kleinen Dinge, die die Traube so besonders machen. Das Popcorn zum Open-Air-Kino unterm sommerlichen Sternenhimmel. Die täglich aufgefüllten Pralinen im Zimmer. Die allabendliche Begrüßungsrunde durch die Gastgeberfamlie Finkbeiner. Die Hotelzeitung, die jeden Morgen an der Tür baumelt. Deswegen schreiben wir auch nach diesem Kurzurlaub: Wir kommen wieder….

Wir hatten Hochzeitstag und haben uns ein 5 Gänge-Menü schmecken lassen. Ein besseres Restaurant in Deutschland zu finden wird schwer. Kulinarisch sehr gut und die Weinbegleitung war top. Service mehr als herausragend! Mehr geht in der Sterne Gastronomie nicht. Vielen Dank Traube, gerne wieder!

Wir waren 1 Woche im Hotel. Leider hat das Wetter es nicht gut mit uns gemeint. Viele Gäste haben abgesagt oder sind erst gar nicht angereist. Die haben was verpasst. Top Gastronomie, familiärer Service und einen modernen Wellnessbereich. Dazu Sporttherapeuten die den Namen verdienen. Iris und Danille waren unsere Urlaubsretter. Sie waren sehr flexibel, sind auf unsere Probleme eingegangen und haben uns Übungen gezeigt, die als Training perfekt waren. Dazu die Aquagymnastik. Schon war das Wetter Nebensache. Wir sind total entspannt zurück und der Rücken ist so schön schmerzfrei. Danke Iris!!! Für mich ein kleines Wunder ;-) Also absolute Empfehlung ***** verdiente Sterne. Bis bald mal wieder. Wir waren im Juli des vergangenen Jahres in diesem Hotel (WE 21.07-.-23.07.2023) Leider war es sehr enttäuschend, das Hotel hat seine besten Jahre längst hinter sich gelassen. Alles ist doch recht altmodisch anmutend, zum einen die allgemeinen Einrichtungen, aber ganz offensichtlich auch die Zimmer selbst. Es roch sehr muffig, so war es wenig verwunderlich, dass sich im Kühlschrank ausgepackte zerbrochene Überraschungseier befanden, im Schrank eine leere Wasserflasche, wer weiß wie lange diese sich bereits dort befand. In der Nacht war es sehr laut, bis 1:00 in der Nacht war an Schlaf nicht zu denken, die Musik aus dem Barbereich deutlich hörbar. Wir haben uns mehrfach beschwert, wirklich interessiert hat es niemand. Am Ende doch, man wollte uns in einem anderen Zimmer unterbringen, nichts geschah, leider überließ man uns e9ne weitere Nacht dem Lärm. Wir haben alle Punkte deutlich reklamiert, auch nochmal bei Abreise. Entschädigung? Fehlanzeige!! Man hätte uns nach Frankfurter Tabelle entschädigen müssen, es wurde uns jedoch lediglich ein Rabatt fürs nächste mal angeboten. Ein nächstes Mal wird es jedoch nicht mehr geben. Das einzige was 5 Sterne würdig ist, sind die Zimmerpreise, bei dem Angebotenen Rabatt immer noch zu teuer, vor allem für den Zustand. Fazit überteuertes Hotel, welches sich noch immer als 5 Sterne Hotel bezeichnet, wenn gleich die Bewertung bereits Jahrzehnte her sein muss.

Wir hatten für 1 Nacht ein Standardzimmer mit vFrühstück gebucht. Personal war nett und höflich, aber in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel bin ich bei der Preiskategorie im Bad (es war sehr klein) ein Bidet und im Zimmer einen Wasserkocher und/oder eine Nespresso-Maschine gewohnt. beides fehlt. Außerdem wird keine Amex akzeptiert. Liegt das an der epigenetischen Sparsamkeit im Schwäbischen?

Exceptional hotel and restaurant. Valet service Idyllic, bucolic setting, suitable for many walks Admirable welcome by Mrs. Dagmar who speaks French Apartment of 55 m2, 2 single bedrooms, great comfort, television in each bedroom + 1 in the living room. Beautiful terrace with deckchairs. Superb view of the heated outdoor swimming pool and the surrounding hills. Every day plate of fresh fruit as well as some sweets Well-equipped bathroom, shiny taps. 3 indoor swimming pools, saunas, hammam, treatments, massages, towels and mineral water available, daybeds all around the swimming pools. The Silberberg restaurant is magnificent. Pantagruelian breakfast buffet. Excellent dinners, tasty, original dishes, very fresh A gourmet dinner from a 1-star restaurant with lobster, scallops, asparagus, morels, pike perch, sweetbreads, Mara strawberries. A delight. Excellent caipirinha at the bar. The restaurant staff is very efficient and speaks French. The only complaints: lack of coffee or tea service in the room And almost no one at reception speaks French, a shame for a 5-star superior hotel.

We stayed at the Traube Tonbach for three nights and had booked a culinary package and dined in a different restaurant every evening. The car is parked and unloaded on arrival, and the stay begins relaxed with two glasses of champagne. The service and friendliness of all employees is very good. As everywhere in the hotel and catering industry, the staff now come from all over the world, which occasionally leads to minor language barriers. The hotel offers language courses for its employees, which is a positive point. Our room was in the main building in the 'old style'. We liked it very much and we had a beautiful view of the Tonbach valley. The management is planning extensive renovation work in the main building in the coming years. It remains to be hoped that the 'Black Forest character' will be retained to some extent. In terms of culinary delights, the Traube Tonbach is clearly in the absolute top class. Breakfast/brunch is served until 11.30 a.m. and is unrivaled in Germany in 2024. Top quality, excellent selection and outstanding table service. We had a beautiful table right by the large window front with a view of the greenery. It should be mentioned here that there are some tables that do not actually have such a beautiful location and view and are also 'in the middle of the hustle and bustle', which is due to the size of the hotel. Egg dishes can be ordered directly from the service staff, and here too they are of excellent quality. The wellness area is also exceptional and offers every form of relaxation. There are outdoor loungers and a heated outdoor pool, and in the indoor area there are various saunas and steam baths, as well as other pool facilities. The fact that there are guests of this level who reserve loungers indoors before breakfast (Ballermann says hello) and the hotel obviously tolerates this 'irritated' us. There is a program every day with numerous activities, including for children. The hotel bar offers an excellent number of different drinks and is also exceptional in Germany in terms of selection. We also visited the restaurants '1789' and 'Schatzhauser' and rated them separately. There remains one critical comment. As a guest in a 5-star hotel, you must be able to pay with the credit card of your choice. No matter what the reason, there must not be even the slightest discussion about payment. We had this and it definitely must not happen. In a world-class hotel, guests must be free to choose how they pay. Conclusion: one of 'the hotels in Germany', cuisine and wellness at the highest level. There are 'optimization approaches' which, in this specific case, I will communicate to the management in another way. The Traube Tonbach is a clear recommendation.

We had a short stay at the establishment and were satisfied. The room was spacious and the bedding was very good. The real thing + a balcony with deck chair! The swimming pools, saunas are superb! The bar is very nice. A wide choice for breakfast! Great! The Silberberg restaurant.... good but really nothing more so a little expensive. We had a pleasant stay. Thanks to the team!
