The hotel is very beautiful and surrounded by nature. You will see animals in the garden of the hotel. They have a pond for frogs (that you can see at night) I have seen capuchin monkies from my room , and one night there was a tapir in the hotel garden. The rooms are minimal but with a good aesthetic. No hot water or AC , but they provide a fan which is all you need for the temperature at the time I visited. The hotel has a path that is also good for a night tour , or seeing the nature. The hotel can provide you with night tours (30$) and will arrange the trips you want to take (Corcovado park , Cano Island..) the beach that you can access from the hotel is in the most beautiful place and does not allow cars (unlike Drake Bay) and it is very quiet and close to the other nice beaches. The food was great , you can choose to pay in advance for three meals a day or just pay every time you wish to take the meal. They also have a bar and will provide you with water to fill. The staff even gave me a non plastic bottle that I needed to go to the national park with. Most of the staff speaks English well. If you are willing to stay in a minimal non luxury hotel and experience the nature in the best way , this is the place for you.

Prachtige ligging direct aan het strand, midden in de natuur met apen, tapirs en talloze vogels om je heen. De hangmatten en de gezellige bar met cocktails zorgen voor een ontspannen sfeer. De huisjes liggen verspreid tegen een heuvel, dus een klim met koffers is even pittig. De kamers zijn eenvoudig, met houten vloeren, koud water en slechte matrassen. Tijdens ons verblijf zakte een van de bedden door; er was ’s nachts niemand bereikbaar, maar het werd de volgende dag netjes opgelost – al hadden we een excuus op prijs gesteld. Het eten is simpel maar goed verzorgd. Je komt hier vooral voor Corcovado, en daarvoor is dit een fantastische uitvalsbasis. Ondanks de basic voorzieningen was het een prachtig avontuur op een unieke plek.

Notre séjours dans cet hôtel fut au dessus de nos espérances !! Le personnel est est aux petits soins , la nourriture est bonne , les chambres sont correctes , la page est un paradis et le coucher de soleil un rêve !! À couper le souffle , alors oui en bon français , on peux toujours dire ceci cela , oui y a pas d eau chaude , bla bla ,mais y fait 500 degrés !! Au contraire je préfères me rafraîchir .et marcher 20 min les pieds dans l eau lors du débarquement pour nous c était top , pour d autres moins . Voilà notre point de vue .

The staff were excellent. Could not have been more helpful. It was sometimes a little difficult to get the right person to ask but nothing was then too much trouble. The gardens are stunning and the monkeys playing in the trees were a great source of amusement

Tres bel endroit, personnel attentionné et très gentil, le barman et manager Mario est toujours disponible pour repondre aux questions et organiser des tours. À quelques pas de ma plage, la nourriture est excellente, que ce soit au dejeuner au diner ou au souper. Seul petit bémol, il n’y a pas d’air climatisée dans les chambres donc un peu chaud mais il y avait tout de meme un ventilateur.

Beautiful place with fabulous staff willing to do ANYTHING to make your experience better. ******* does not tell you it is insanely difficult to drive to and near impossible without 4 wheel drive. That's really essential information and a massive failure on their part. The reason the property doesn't have parking is that nobody drives there. They don't even have a sign on the road. That said, the property is heavenly, the staff over-the-moon attentive. We would have enjoyed it much more had we not experienced the harrowing car ride in and out. Next time we'll take the boat from Sierpe.
