Zum zweiten Mal hier und noch immer tief beeindruckt von der Lage, der Aussicht und der Flora und Fauna rund um die Unterkunft. In der Nacht toller Soundtrack vom Dschungel. Gut zu Fuss sein sollte man, es geht von der Reception / Restaurant steil nach oben. Die Unterkunft liegt ausserdem etwas ausserhalb des Ortes. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer wurde seit letztem Jahr nach unserem Empfinden etwas reduziert, ist aber noch immer in Ordnung. Die letztes Jahr beeindruckende Aufmerksamkeit vom Staff und der Service empfanden wir dieses Mal eher als durchschnittlich für diese Preisklasse. Leider wurde auch das Zimmer nicht jeden Tag gereinigt, was mit dem sandigen und feuchten Umfeld gut wäre. Also: Nach wie vor super Adresse, wir kommen gerne wieder. Und wenn man hier ist: Unbedingt mal zu Abend essen, die kochen wahnsinnig gut.

We stayed for a few nights and resort has a lovely feel, I was concerned about the lack of air conditioning prior to booking, however with the way the air flows naturally through the apartment there is no need for air con plus it allows you to hear the animals naturally throughout your stay. Would definitely recommend

Hi
This place is great lots of birds at tree level and the his and hers showers are a nice touch. It's quite a walk up to some of the rooms so bear that in mind. The hotel restaurant is good and is also close to another new restaurant on the beach. The breakfast was great and the hosts were good. One the nicer places in drake bay but also slightly expensive, I will also mention the mosquito grills on the vents did let small flies in but I was at the start of the rainy season too. All great though thank you

Logement et situation exceptionnels
Chalet avec une vue exceptionnelle, panoramique sur la mer et la forêt. Bel endroit avec possibilité de balade le long de la mer.
Hébergement qui se mérite néanmoins une forte côte, suivie d'une série de marche pour y accéder. Des bagages sont heureusement déposés par l'hôtel dans la chambre. Immergé dans la forêt, on entend tous les bruits des animaux de jour et de nuit, ce qui est magnifique.

Wir waren hier für vier Nächte und haben unser Zimmer und das Ambiente echt genossen. Das Team ist bemüht und hochmotiviert, steht jederzeit für Fragen und kleine Dienste zur Verfügung. Das Essen war lecker und wunderbar angerichtet. Die Zimmer sind super belüftet und man hat echtes Dschungel-Feeling, fühlt sich wohl und ist mittendrin, ganz ohne Klimaanlage oder TV. Von der Reception zum Zimmer waren es ungefähr 110 Stufen durch einen wunderbaren tropischen Garten, auf dem Weg gibts immer was zu entdecken. Für die Regenzeit stehen Schirme zur Verfügung, um das Gepäck kümmert sich das Team und der Balkon mit traumhafter Ozeansicht ist sinnvollerweise überdacht. Die Fotos versprechen nicht zu viel. Wer den Regenwald, das Meer und die Natur geniessen will und keine Angst hat vor ein paar Tieren sollte da mal hin.

We cannot say enough about our time at Drake Bay Getaway. Hay Neer had newly taken over management of the resort and it did not show as he was so welcoming, knowledable and organized. We could not have asked for a better host. He helped us plan our excursions and made sure we had what we needed to maximize our experiences. We do not speak Spanish so it was so nice to have Hay Neers help with organizing adventures for us.We had so much fun talking to Hay Neer and his party Andy who also helped host. The food was absolutely incredible and blew us away. The staff we so mindful and accomodating of dietary restrictions and the food was all made fresh and was amazing. The room and view was stunning. Everything on the property was spotless. All the staff we so kind and hard working. We even got to see some wild life around the property!

What can I say about Drake Bay Getaway Resort and Drake Bay in general - Life-changing. We stayed in the Heliconia cabin and it was perfect. Great views of the ocean and a macaw couple nesting in the trees. We were worried about the lack of AC - we are Americans okay - but the ceiling fan and airflow of the cabin made it comfortable. In fact we had to use the blanket at night. Geinier, the new GM, is amazing. He went above and beyond to make our trip memorable. The food was impeccable and always 5-star presentation. The fresh fruit, smoothies, desserts. I really can’t explain how fantastic everything was at this resort. We made forever friends and plan to go back as soon as we can. Highly recommend!!
