Conrad Punta de Mita

Gorgeous property with such attention to detail. Every room has a great view. All good and drinks on property were outstanding. The spa is well worth it for use of the special pool and amenities. Love the Conrad and this location doesn’t disappoint

We stayed at the Conrad Punta de Mita for a wedding scout trip and to celebrate our engagement — and left extremely disappointed. For a hotel positioning itself as luxury, it lacked the basics in hospitality and service. From the start, it was clear they didn’t care that we were potentially scouting the resort for a wedding. There was no warmth or effort to make us feel welcome or special. We even mentioned we were celebrating our engagement, and instead of a thoughtful gesture (which most 5-star resorts would do without question), they sent us a price list for champagne and floral add-ons. No complimentary champagne, not even a card — just upsells. Housekeeping was inconsistent. On Day 2, the room was not cleaned, and despite requesting cleaning again the next day to substitute — nothing. Same with water bottles: we asked, never received. I flagged this to the front desk and the staff member not only seemed uninterested — he pretended to write it down but clearly didn’t. Restaurant wait times were long and service was sluggish. When we asked about late check-out (a standard Amex benefit), the receptionist acted like he was doing us a favor by allowing a 1pm check-out — clearly unaware of the benefit and unprofessional in tone. For $900 over two nights, this was not remotely worth the price. There are far better resorts in the area where hospitality still means something. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Special thanks to Rebeca and her housekeeping team for keeping our room immaculately clean, Edgar and Francisco going the extra mile at Mezquite, Rodolfo with his amazing customer service, Santiago, Cristina and Elba at El Arbol, Osnaki (I hope I got his name right) At the pool and Oliver and Nayeli at the beach.

Daniela, our personal concierge was extremely kind and considerate, and made us feel like VIPs for our entire stay. The family agrees it was the best vacation we’ve ever had!

We booked a suite which came with our own concierge contact, Ximena. This was the nicest and most amazing experience. Ximena meet every request from reservations, to booking cabanas, ride service to town, airport and so much more. She was a true gem that made our trip the best and made everything so easy! Alex our main waiter at the pool was so fun and brought us everything we needed all day. All the staff from the guys at the valet area, staff at breakfast, check in, etc. we never encountered one member of staff who was not friendly or helpful. We celebrated 2 birthdays and this must have been noted, as we were treated with many birthday surprises during our stay! Many cute beach side restaurants close by if you like to venture out of the resort to eat a few nights. Mesquite dinner by the beach was our favorite meal at the resort. We went as couples without kids. This is definitely a resort with a mix of families with all age kids. They do have an adult pool that sits up higher than the family pool with a swim up bar, but the breeze did not make it up to the adult pool as it was super hot and the family pool down below seemed to be cooler. It was not overly crowded. I could use some little music playing at the pool as it was a little quite. July was very hot, and the pool was not super cool as a result, that’s the only complaint I have. We loved Punta Mita, the beauty, the beach, but may choose a cooler month our next trip.
