Having lived in Ethiopia a long time. I must say that yesterday I had the most bazaar and unpleasant restaurant expertience in my many year here, at lunchtime, at Olive Hotel.. 1. We orded a chicken breast, with crushed potatoes, spinach, and brown sauce. The meal delivered was a chicken leg, with french fries...not asked for or liked...and NO sauce. 2. The barman took the order but in our long 40 minute wait for the food no staff member asked us about drinks. 3. Two staff came and out theTV on above our heads without asking if we wanted this. (we had only come here as the church noise at Yerusalem Restaurant was so loud. 4. We were told we would only be charged for the other main meal - a nice fish golash. 5. When the bill came both main meals were on it and at 50% higher prices than we had seen on the menu. When I asked to see the menu again they showed us another one with the much higher prices....in other words they had by mistake or intent got us to order from a menu with much lower prices. 6. It took about 35 minutes to get the bill which was about double what I expected. 7. When we moved downstairs to wait for the bill and then query it.........two people offered to give us some money back but no one actually did so. So if you stay at Olive Hotel, use some other restaurant.
