Dating from 1849, the sumptuous rooms at Pennyhill Park have free WiFi, four-poster beds, quality linens and a pillow menu. The beautiful bathrooms have fluffy robes, bespoke toiletries and rain showers.

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and professional staff, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The tree-lined drive leading up to the hotel created an immediate sense of calm and escape. Our room was absolutely beautiful – spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and with high-quality towels and luxurious bed linen that made it feel extra special. The spa was truly top class – immaculate facilities and a perfect place to unwind. Evenings were best spent in the relaxing bar, where the atmosphere was calm and inviting. The barman was exceptionally knowledgeable, happy to recommend drinks and share interesting insights – a real credit to the team. Altogether a fantastic experience – we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

We recently stayed at Pennyhill Park for a couples’ getaway. While the dining experience—particularly at The Latymer, was exceptional, the overall condition of the hotel was disappointing. Much of the property feels tired, dated, and in need of substantial refurbishment. Unfortunately, our room bore little resemblance to the images shown on the website. It was poorly furnished with outdated decor, had an unpleasant smell, and lacked basic amenities such as shower gel and conditioner, surprising, given the premium price point. The hotel, on the whole, appears to be at least two decades behind the times, with maintenance efforts seemingly limited to temporary fixes rather than meaningful upgrades. The spa, although enjoyable, also suffers from mismatched styling and an overall dated feel. Service at reception was underwhelming. The staff came across as informal and not particularly well-trained. We even overheard inappropriate language from the staff. That said, The Latymer restaurant stands out. It delivers the level of quality and service the rest of the property aspires to. The food was outstanding, the service attentive, and the pricing fair. In summary, Pennyhill Park has the potential to be a top-tier destination, but it desperately needs a full-scale renovation if it hopes to justify its rates.

We came here last year for our anniversary and had an amazing time, so we were really excited to return and even brought some friends with us. The hotel is still a lovely venue and the staff were very friendly, but unfortunately the overall experience didn’t live up to last year. Every meal we had at the Hillfield Restaurant, both breakfast and dinner, was incredibly slow. We had to ask where our food was on every occasion. On our final morning, one breakfast never arrived at all and we had to leave before it came, as everyone else had already finished eating. We also had a leak in our room from the air conditioning which was dripping onto the floor. We informed reception straight away but no one ever came to fix it. We mentioned it again at check-out and were given a late check-out, which was a nice gesture, but didn’t really make up for the issue. The outdoor pool was much colder than we remembered from the previous year, which made it a bit less enjoyable, but the pool and spa areas are still absolutely incredible and remain a real highlight of the hotel. It’s a shame, because we had such a great experience last year and the hotel still has a lot of charm. Hopefully these issues are just a one-off and can be addressed, as we’d love to come back again if the standards are brought back up but would give another spa hotel a try after this.

Took a friend for an afternoon tea for her birthday. Very, very disappointed with the afternoon tea itself. It was the premium tea, the food was so minimal. Would not recommend. So disappointed as we had been looking forward to this for weeks. That alongside the reputation Pennyhill Psrk has, I was dismayed at our experience.

Just got back from an amazing stay at this hotel. The staff were all lovely, the hotel was beautiful and the spa was the best i have been to with the outdoor pools being amazing! Callum in the hillfield bar was wonderful, couldn't have be more helpful and friendly when we visited for lunch and then later on for drinks at the bar. He made us some amazing cocktails and made our evening very enjoyable. He is an asset to the team! Would defo visit again thank you

Booked myself a Tranquility spa day past Thursday - it was anything but tranquil, the outdoor pool area turned out to be dominated by a group of women all with babies and young children. I mentioned this at the end of my day, receptionist said that she would get someone to call me to discuss this matter … lack of customer service is inexcusable! Not the luxurious experience I was expecting at all I’m afraid!

Attended for a wedding. The function room was nice, if a little generic. The wedding food was excellent - the best I've had at a wedding. To get that many covers out at the same time, whilst maintaining such high standards, is impressive. The staff who looked after us were friendly and attentive. Drinks at the bar are pretentiously overpriced. £6 for a cup of tea plus a £2.50 service charge! Remortgage if you're planning on drinking lots! Nothing about the hotel justifies such outrageous prices. The grounds and gardens were a little disappointing. Scruffy paving and significant under investment in decent planting. Would I rush back? Probably not...Or at least only if there was a free bar!

We were at the venue for immediate family’s wedding. We arrived a day before the wedding and needed to set up for the next day- staff were absolutely incredible in supporting us, making sure we had everything we needed including food and drinks being delivered while we were setting up. Ruben and Natalie were great, Ruben in particular went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after, easing the pressure off us which was much needed! Thank you for an excellent service, we will be returning soon! Annie
