Firstly and most importantly the staff are amazing and go all out for you. Our ground floor room was a little tired, the bathroom especially, with an awful shower curtain that clung to you, mouldy grouting, an over mirror light that was too high to turn on..but it was clean, the water hot and plentiful. The bed was far too hard, as were the pillows, but some may like that. A great selection of teas, coffee bags, and biscuits, replenished after night 1. Restaurant food was very good. Id stay again but take my own pillows.

Stayed at premier a short walk away.Had a great visit Lovely place great food, had a lovely sea bass and king prawn rissoto and cheese and leek pie followed by salted caramel sundae and a selection of ice cream, service really good will definitely visit again

Had a lovely stay here for a couple of nights whilst I was working in the area. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. Had a gorgeous meal in the evening - Lamb Shank Shepherds Pie with the most delicious gin and tonic. Breakfast was also lovely. Abi, our waitress was so friendly and happy. It was a pleasure to have her service.

We recently stayed two nights - 95% of staff from check-in to check-out were fabulous and restaurant/bar staff worked so hard on the Friday evening. We ate both nights, varied and reasonable menu. Our only slight criticism is that the whole place needs a little TLC but this would NOT put us off staying again

Breakfast is as good as the dinner. I enjoy both and the choices are never exhausted. Abbey is nice and friendly. She's really good and helpful.
