Fantastic time, so much to do, great horses with country hacks through forests and tea estates. Fabulous food based on their own farmed produce and so ultra fresh. Great forests and an inspiring orphange. If you like wild swimming this is a top place. Definately take the family there again.

Beautiful experience on a private Island, celebrating a private birthday gateway with my husband… Our room was very big with a view, waking up next to the ocean and the sound of waves. So relaxing.

A great island with great, dedicated staff. Not only the guest manager but also every member of the staff tried to fulfill our wishes and make our stay a great experience. The accommodation itself was clean and tidy. The bungalows were in a great location with a direct view of the sea, great relaxation areas. Good range of activities to keep you occupied. Delicious food, even if you have special requests. Highly recommended as a relaxing stay after a strenuous safari tour.

The island is a small paradise. The bungalows are getting on in years and everything rather than well kept. The food varies from very good to loveless and without imagination. Except for a dry swordfish fillet there is no fish. This is therefore worth mentioning, because in Bagamoyo, where occasional shopping is done, there is a fish market that makes every fish lover's heart beat faster. Whoever buys the Wine has no idea of the matter. The Tanzania wine was not drinkable. Even the manager spit it out, but I still paid for it. I poured the wine into the sink. The Sparkling wine had no bubbles and was years old. The other 5 wines we drank were not worth drinking. South Africa has such great wines, but they have only cheap "factory wines". The staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you again. There is no dock on the mainland. At low tide you have to walk in the murky water. There is mud and sand in places. I sank in up to my ankle. The slippers got stuck, so I had to continue without shoes. Very unpleasant because you can easily step on a shell or glass splinters. What the homepage promises is not the reality. Conclusion: Overpriced, getting on in years, unimaginative kitchen and wines, if the owner is not willingly to invest now, stay away.

Lazy Lagoon is the most relaxing place. It is remote, natural and beautiful. The cottages right on the beach are spacious and comfortable. Sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep and awaken you gently. The food is amazing, a good variety and tasty. Staff are friendly and willing. Manager Sarah is warm and obliging and we loved her dogs, Danny and Timmy, who walked with us every afternoon on the beautiful, literally squeaky clean beach! We didn't want to leave and we dream of being back there.
